Thanks so much I figured it out thanks to you!! I bought this used camper and it's been nothing but a nightmare. But my fridge is now working there was so much rust in there and the skeletal remains of a mouse. Gross. Thank you for the great tip.
Good tips for propane fridge maintenance. Not leveling your rig can really catch up to you. I (intentionally) didn't level our mh for the first 30k+ and it finally did in our fridge towards the end of a 3 month trip. We ended up frying the circuit board when we tried to reset it, so I yanked it and put in a mini dormfridge which works for us because we leave the inverter on while traveling. I'm actually kinda surprised the dorm fridge has held up for the past ~10k miles. Eventually we're going with a 12v compressor fridge.
I honestly don't know how the ammonia based fridges work. I understand the basic concept but I am no engineer on it. I am just some guy in Suburbia that knows what's work to get him by. Maybe I could ask that @thetradesmanchannel guy he may have seen a fridge or two in his life. Or if anyone else knows how they work. Please comment below. -Will
Great video and explanations. My refer burner had exactly the same issue as yours. One thing I did was I used a long reach lighter because ignighter wasnt able to light it. Once i did that, it helped with the draw on the fuel. Remember, while trouble shooting if you leave the refer on auto and while the trailer is connected to electrical power you can un plug and plug in to the receptacle to trigger the on/ff and auto switching between LP and 120v without having to go to your access point. Thanks again
Sorry about that. The fuel burner tube should be found on the lower right side. It can be found in the access panel on the exterior of the rv on the opposite side of the fridge. Good luck. -Will
Thanks for this great info. Woke up to the check alarm on only second trip on new RV. Did a little research and found your video. The burner had a little ash on it. Once cleaned off, good as new again.
Shoot. We're in the area now too (from Western WA). It's a shame our trips didn't sync up. In another year or two, we'll probably do another cross country trip which will take us through the Great Plains.
@@Debtfreehomesteaders We're in the woods near West Yellowstone right now and the mosquitoes don't seem to be that bad. Are the Tetons worse? Snow is forecast for tonight/tomorrow which should be interesting. Fortunately we have full tanks of propane and gas.
@@Debtfreehomesteaders no worries! It is holding temp, yea! And the check light only comes on periodically after I turn on and off. But, more so lately so I’m concerned!
You do have flame which is a good thing. But can you hear it? You may not have enough flame. Check out this article. I hope it helps. Let me know. -Will thecampingnerd.com/rv-fridge-not-cooling-try-this-one-simple-trick/
Not sure why the check light would be on if your not running on guess. Maybe check the electrical heating element. I had to replace the motherboard on one of mine. Good luck! -Will

Dog on plug was never plugged in. Had to pull of the panel and plug it in. Video was helpful.
Glad it helped. At least it was an easy fix.

I just went through the Tetons a couple weeks ago. Amazing
Don't ever go in June unless you've got bug spray by the 5 gallon bucket

What if someone the check light is on the electrical side?
I am connected to shore power, but my check light keeps coming on. Any ideas why or how to troubleshoot that?
Sorry for the late reply.. Not sure on the check light when connected to shore power. Is the fridge holding temp ok?

@@Debtfreehomesteaders for some reason it doesn't work on electric side either. With generator plugged in everything else works just not the fridge.
