A video about KHR in 2019? You have no idea how goddamn happy this makes me. In terms of recent KHR news, KHR Nendoroid figures of Tsuna, Hibari, Mukuro, and Xanxus have already been released (AND THEY LOOK GORGEOUS, I WANT THEM), with more on the way. There have also been rumors that the manga will be getting a reprint in Japan. An anime remake, ESPECIALLY if it covers the last two manga-only arcs, or even just a continuation, would be incredible. We’ve already gotten a glimpse of how beautiful a remade anime would be thanks to the elDLIVE x KHR crossover trailer (I’m still sad the actual crossover thing never came out...).
The manga already had a reprint! The covers have new illustrations and everything! And currently, KHR has a stage play happening! If I'm not mistaken, right now they're on the Varia arc :> what's even cooler is that the actress that plays Reborn is the actual voice actor!
Seriously Neeko plays Reborn in the live action! Now that's rare and seriously it shows that no one can replace Reborn's voice ;) it's such a treasure!!
@@shahzabeshah7304 You should. I left off at episode 73. Its been years since my younger days when I watched it. My best friend who saw and read the whole series so he got me to watch it. Gonna go back to continue where I left off and finish the remaining episodes of the anime and the manga. Once I finish up Medaka Box. On the last 15 chapters. I'll go back to Reborn. Medaka Box my 3rd Shonen Jump series finished after Dragon Ball & Hunter X Hunter.
@@lawlacast7107 It became underrated when it ended and its popularity started to drop. Even though it's still awesome, only because it's not ongoing and probably won't have any update, no one talks about it and barely any new people watch it.
Man, it isn't fair that FMA got like TWO conclusion with it's anime while this didn't even get a proper closure. This was much more of an underdog story than Naruto ever was(try as it might, it never got me to relate to Naruto the way I relate to Tsuna). As unfortunate as it is, I don't think the series will get a continuation any time soon. It is REALLY underrated, and I doubt any studios are willing to take that risk.
@blazinho no you are spot on. I never got far with the future arc, because the writing never made up for all the lag I got from the story dragging. The problem is tsuna was never that good of a character due to him not really growing that much. He simply got shot or used the ring to become a badass, and while I enjoyed that tsuna, he just felt lacking due to it. It was cheapining the story since he never needed to grow since the ring made him a calm collected badass. The story needed to force him to become like that outside of the ring, and then it would feel earned. Overall I like the idea of the story, but it dragged its ass to much for me to finish it. That being said when I was on what most people claim to be the best arc, and I thought it was picking up to. That is how filler can really bring down an anime, as well as it not having many themes beyond just one or two at a time. It feels like it was intended for very young children until later. FMA always had multiple themes in it from the get go. . Writing for children is narrow and rigid to a point the characters feel unrealistic, and adults, or teenagers are very one dimensional even though no 10year old+ human is like that. KHR suffers from alot of one dimensional writing for along time, and even when it starts to open up more it still does it for Tsuna alot. You are not nitpicky in the slightest. I can't tell if I can stand going through the beginning again, since I haven't seen it in years, and I might run into the same problem. It just doesn't pick up in the writing to cancel out the filler, and all the one dimensional writing. I don't know if the writing ever really does, or if it's just a bunch of nostalgia goggle ridden people saying it does make it worth while to finish. Either or I do like the idea of the show alot so i'm contemplating watching it again, but yeah fma beats it hands down. If the story does actually get better people still need to admit it has the same problem as the first 20 episodes since they set up the show, it lags.
@Aki do you remember shows you watched when you were really little. Now think about how unrealistic the adults, or teenagers were. They acted very one dimensional, even though no teenager, or adult is like that. This is due to the theme being pushed, and no other themes existing in the writing. The story is rather rigid instead of feeling more open like life actually is. Now think about all the themes you can from the dark knight, and not any of the major themes it focused on. You can find a ton since life has a lot of variables going on at once, and that there is where subjective actually comes into play. The childrens writing is one dimensional since childrens brains(1-6) have not learned enough to understand more complex things. They also do not have the processing power of a teens brain, so they need the building blocks to get there for now. Since these shows are for teaching kids they can't skip a step and expect the child to catch up, which is why one dimensional writing is not inherently bad. However if a show is more for 8+ year olds, then it will be more so boring as it feels very rigid, and just to childish. Think dora the explorer and that is what you have in front of you in part when it comes to Tsuna. . Now think about Luke Skywalker, and how he is not a very complex character. He still has a lot of depth due to his circumstances, and the trials he had before him. Tsuna however has the same you might say, but luke has no magic bullet, or a ring. Then you might say "but he has the force", and that would be the same thing except luke had to put in the work and yet he still lost his hand. Tsuna never really had to grow as a character up to the point I had stopped watching, which was the future arc early on. Even if he does at some point in that arc that doesn't change the fact that it took to long for him to earn that power up. Luke however had to grow just like a real human being from the get go, and even if you didn't understand everything to it you still felt the connection. That is because writing is based of human nature period. It is why luke skywalker is so beloved by so many, even without being a complex character. Tsuna himself as well as most of the others are simply to simple to get into all that much. If you were younger when watching this show then you may not have this issue due to nostalgia, which is fine as long as you don't prop it up to the same level as FMA. . FMA had more mature themes, and it handled the characters correctly for any given situation. Writing is very objective, and it has a structure that must be followed to carry the weight you want the story to have. The hard part to writing is if you want something unique then you have to understand what you're doing, since you can't copy something else. If you did copy somebody elses work than yours wouldn't be so unique. The fact is KHR has an idea that is unique, but beyond the idea it doesn't have much of a reason to exist really. It seems to be aimed for teens for the later arcs (of the anime), but it never seems to pick up in the writing to much even though the story in those arcs allow it room to grow. Especially with half the cast as their own reasons to be apart of the vongola family are very one dimensional basically. The funny part is whats his face is already basically a member from the get go, and yet he has more character growth in those regards from what I remember. The one person who doesn't need much to explain why he would join Tsunas familgia had more explained then the rest. That is partly why this show is not well known. Mind you I like his growth( dude with the dynamite ), but they should all get that treatment so as to strengthen the overall story. . Pacing in FMA/brotherhood was done exceptionally well, take for example when they stay with the alchemist who turned his daughter into a chimera. It is slower for those episodes, but it pays off since you take it all in. So when you get to the point you find that out it hits home more than if you were watching something sexy right before, or action packed. This show has the problem of not utilizing its pacing to well, even after the first twenty episodes. If it does better with pacing past the point I dropped the show, it still doesn't make up for what I think is 80, or 100 episodes( since it had a lot of filler I'm not sure where I left at ). The other part is it doesn't use that time to build deeper characters by showing us reasons they would actually give two fucks about what Tsuna says half the time. Mind you I mean Tsuna without using the ring. They also just have tsuna seem better even though he is dealing with some serious things. He should grow outside the ring as luke had to grow outside the force when he realized it wouldn't be enough to save his father, or friends. . Sadly the writing seems to not be growing to match the idea of the story. It should have been done like avatar the last air bender. While it has some aspects when it comes to them being friends, it just doesn't grow to build that bond realisticly unlike atla where they grew naturally. While everything I'm saying might sound like I'm just taking a dig at the show, I don't hate it, or think there is no reason it should exist. I simply am sad it was not written better since the whole idea is intriguing to say the least, and I think it should have been handled better. I'll stop it here since this is getting rather long, and hope that gives you some more clarity.
Naruto stopped being the underdog once he gained control of kuruma, was a reincarnation of the son of 6 paths, gained the great sages power, and it was revealed that the uzamaki clan is one of the most powerful clan
I'm so happy I'm one of the persons who actually did watch this anime to the end and the manga. (Wish they animated the rest btw.. imagine the arcobaleno arc animated omg).
Oh... imagine that part where Fran made mukuro wear a pineapple hat and verde a strawberry hat been animated... hahahahaah... fruity style! and the fight of Iemetsu and Tsuna... Fong x Mammon... Reborn in his uncrused state that tsuna didn't recognized... Daemon x Tsuna's battle.... That part where reborn throws away the mist owl while mukuro possesing it because mukuro is complaining to reborn... hahahaaha.. I wonder those scenes how it will be in anime... The comedic part of the two arcs left in manga
Oh My God This Was And Still Is My Favourite Anime Ahhhh The Fights , The Comedy , THE MUSIIIC. This Anime Is A Masterpiece And I Watched It What 10 Years Ago?, It Just Feels Good to Finally See a Video About It. Great Job On The Video BTW and Thanks
I can definitely see the possibility for an anime reboot for the series in the future. A Hitman Reborn Brotherhood so to speak. And it really needs it too. The story for Reborn is still great even for today, but the animation is pretty dated and even lazy at times. Plus it’s really obvious that it’s an anime that’s not trying to go past the manga. There’s some filler and a lot of the episodes are super slow paced. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing since a lot of Shounen anime followed this formula at the time but it’s definitely not a good thing either. So a reboot that would adapt the manga from beginning to end would be a dream come true. I’m pretty sure A-1 Pictures owns the anime rights for the series. So if they need another long running shounen series after finishing Fairy Tail, they could always adapt Reborn
@@diamonshade7484 you won't regret it I read the manga after the future arc. (Where the anime ends) the end was amazing and all the character development too.
I still think this anime has one of the best power systems ever. Every character has a unique aura/element that it comes with a specific property that they can apply to their fighting style. Just amazing.
4:06 to 4:10 I remember when I first saw Opening 1.5 for this series back in 2007 and was like “No way! Tsuna becomes like that!?” I was hype just to see how a comedy show suddenly took a sharp turn to being a battle shonen.
This anime is truly beautiful, I first watched this anime when I was 12. That was 5 years ago. Year after year I find myself re-watching this anime and I'm going to be re-watching it again pretty soon.
THE FEELING THIS ANIME BROUGHT ME IS INCREDIBLE. BUT THE ENDING IS JUST--- I love the warmly fuzzy ending scene but at least please, I want to see they all become 10th vongola generation
What a beautiful video to find just by wondering what would come up if I searched for KHR on UA-cam. It may have been so long and I feel powerless as I see the community drop further and further while I'm still here theorizing and talking about it, but I'm so happy people at least have happy memories of this show. I was introduced to it by my friend and because of it we became and still are best friends ten years down the line. I even started writing fic of it as a joke and years later I still do because the show has amazing world-building potential. Sometimes I get angry and disappointed with the anime, manga, Artland/Amano for what was and what could have been, but I still treasure this anime more than anything else. You worded it perfectly, watching it at just the right time. It's stuck with me so long and I hope that the REBORN! Stage Plays that are going on right now (The first stage play covering the Daily and Kokuyo Arcs finished earlier this year and now "VS Varia Part 1" is coming out this June, unfortunately in Japan only, but people can still purchase DVD's/Bluray) would spark some interest back into it. Thank you for the video
I found KHR several years ago by accident and decided to watch it on a whim. Little did I know that that anime I watched back in 2015 would change my life and my perspective on so many things forever. I know it sounds dramatic but that's cause for me it was. To this day, nothing has affected me in the same way that KHR did. I drank every episode, read every chapter. I know all the flame lore. I was, and still am in some ways, obsessed with this show. It's not perfect obviously but what it does get right is amazing. And I would love to see a reboot of it or even a continuation because this series really does deserve it. And I think people would honestly really like to watch it. Both the old fans of it and people who've never seen it before.
@@jeffcavaliersbluemarker9865 Me too honestly today lol. To this day one of my favourite things to do when I make new friends is try to figure out their flame type
Definitely think Reborn is amongst those, especially if Toriko is considered underrated despite having a crossover and an attempt to make it the 'next big thing'. Personally love hitman reborn and hope this video helps to show why it's worth checking out!
@@kennylauderdale_en there is some underrated shonen jump series. Hitman Reborn was axed , same goes for Nurarihyon no Mago. Beyond both of them , "Illegal Rare" was made by the same author of Nura , in which the monsters were opressed by humans and lived in fear of monster hunters.
@@cheese6783 nah , it was axed , and it shows with how rushed it was against the 8th Arcobaleno and Checker Face. Let alone JUMP informed the manga would end one month prior to it's readers , alongside Bleach. Said and done , both ended in the same month with a week or two of difference.
I love Reborn. The main thing I love about it is that you get to see Tsuna start out very weak and then grow over time, Yes he still relies on Deathsperation but he becomes more and more in control and can trigger it himself. This is unlike other Shonen protagonists like Goku, Luffy, Ichigo ect, who are already strong andb want to be stronger to reach their goals.
Katekyo hitman reborn is still to this day my favorite shounen anime...I saw it back when I was in 8th grade and it’s been almost 3 years since I graduated
KHR was one of my favorite anime back in my childhood days. Wish the series was continued after the Future arc. This series was way ahead of its time and it'll probably become a big time anime if Reborn series was made in today's era (big time like AOT and JJK).
I really liked this anime ! When you think My hero Academia got a lot of inspirations from it (a surname for the main character which describes him as useless or Bakugo who is actually a Gokudera’s copy, both have explosive personality and use explosion) and became popular whereas Katekyoshi Hitman Reborn is totally underrated. Honestly I think it was also due to the moment. When Reborn was broadcasted, there were too awesome animes at the same time. So it could not become famous. However, My Hero Academia came when One Punch Man anime was over and Bleach, Naruto mangas too. So they were not so « hyping » shonen to watch. What a shame for this anime !
That's what came to my mind when I watched the first episode of MHA. Deku is pretty much a green-haired Tsuna. He also reminds me of Sena from Eyeshield 21.
@@chrispolo25 Katekyo Hitman Reborn in my opinion. I finished the show just yesterday, so it might be recency bias, but I prefer KHR over MHA mainly because Reborn trains Tsuna's ass off throughout the whole show to grow his balls and to make him worthy of becoming the next Vongola boss, while Deku just gets the most OP power in the world from the most OP character and trains for about 10 months, and that doesn't even feel earned since all that training happened off-screen within the span of one episode. Later on, Deku just continues to get stronger as he fights opponents without proper training. Whenever he actually does the training on-screen in the show, it barely even matters. The last time he trained was with the Full-cowling, but there's nowhere to get from there since the only problem he was having with One For All was that he was damaging himself, and now that's been solved. Now One for All will continue to get stronger without any backlash to Deku anymore. Another reason is that MHA gets one really good arc and then another boring one. We usually get one great villain arc and one relatively mediocre slice of life/training arc (where the actual "training" arc barely matters as I said). Last time we got a quite enjoyable arc with Deku vs Gentle, but even then the stakes weren't quite high. On the other hand, KHR gives us consecutive serious arcs with high stakes, at least of what's canon (with the exception of Daily Life arc returning for a few episodes after Kokuyo arc). Just to clarify, I might seem like I absolutely hate MHA, but I really don't. I actually quite love it. Just because I'm pointing out (what I think that are) it's flaws, doesn't mean that I hate it. So try not to kill me.
The Inheritance arc and the arcobaleno where soooooo good! I can't belive they where not animated. Thoes two arcs where so good that I'm on a dilemma thinking which was my favorite.
Same here, i watched it when i was 12, 2012. Especially the songs. FINALLYY someone know about Katekyo Hitman Reborn. I like the songs!!!!! especially unique story plot with Rings deathperation flame!!!
Man I'm really old I have fond memories finding Katekyo hitman reborn. I remember I found it in the middle of the future arc. Way back when I was a Sophomore in high-school.
definitely nostalgic. One of my favourites as a young teen! Loved all the characters and the how the story later developed. It feels like you grew up as Tsuna matured in the series.
Thank you for making this video 😭 I love Katekyo Hitman Reborn so much. It's such a big part of my childhood, I remember watching it all on UA-cam in middle school. Honestly it kills me how little people talk about it and how there's no new content for it because it was so great. I would love it of they made more content for it!

I absolutely love this series, although I did definitely experience a great deal of frustration with how the anime ended. Thank you so much for giving one of my favorites some love!
I watched this a year ago and while it was slow at the start the gags got me to stay and learning about the different deathperation flames was thrilling showing this show wasn’t about to back down, this show is worth watching and it definitely is more than expected
I've literally never seen your channel before, but I saw Hitman Reborn and clicked without hesitation. This was the first anime I watched with the knowledge that it was anime - meaning counting out Pokémon and Digimon this was truly the first anime I ever watched, and man was it quite the ride.
Katekyo hitman reborn is literally my second favorite anime and is constantly fighting for first place in my heart every time I come back to it. I think I've actually seen it about 4 times by now cause I just can't get enough of it. I really wish they would come back and finish animating the series. I really want adult reborn! Hopefully with them doing the stage play soon, it will kick it back into the limelight it deserves. Thank you for making this video!
It's 2021 and I'm still rewatching this. It's the first video I recalled watching in this amazing channel ❤️ Definitely deserves a lot of views, and yes, still hoping for the anime to return for sure! ✨ Really wanted to see more about Tsuna, Reborn, Enma and the Curse of the Rainbow Arc.
Finished reading it a few days ago and it's great to see more about Reborn. I honestly loved it through and through and the manga arcs didn't particularly feel rushed to me and I thought the ending was as good as it could've been
"go watch hitman reborn like you're life depends on it" HOLY FUCKING SHIT, that gave me goosebumbs, especially after finishing the anime today. you made my day
definitely one of my favorite anime's of all time. The characters were so much fun to watch (except for lambo), and the growth they all went through in the future arc was really captivating
the fact that it is so underrated now made me question KHR and its quality since i watched it like 8 years ago (phew!!) and dont remember the details, but this video reminded me of how great that show really is!!!! it was also one of my first anime and still one of my favourite experiences watching an anime to date. great video, I hope it convinces people to get into it. going to rewatch it soon
It was first meant as a gag manga but it switched after she realising it couldnt go for that tone longer, it had to go for a serious battle shonen manga
I found this Anime when I was 14 too... now I'm 22 and I still love it all the same if not more. I rewatched it so often and as I get older I find more and more things that make this anime and its characters so perfect. Also, the music is so nostalgic and always makes my heart feel lighter. Thanks for making this video and I really hope that more people will rediscover this gem.
Ah, this was a series I watched back in the day - until one day no more episodes aired- I then read the manga yet I can't help but want more- one of my favourite manga of all time- Tsuna and his development was insane and the best part- dying will such a unique concept
This is still one my top 5 anime I've love to watch when I'm still a child, I still remember this showing up on one of our anime channels and fell in love on the anime itself
I AM SO GLAD SOMEONE IS TALKING ABOUT THIS ANIME! I watched it for the first time when I was in 6th grade and have been hooked every since. To this day, it is still my favorite anime of all time! Wish more people have seen it >
I remember when the anime ended the start of rummors for the vongola x arc and the fans waiting for a new season, the day the manga ended i cry a little knowing that it will never come back
Back in the years the anime aired, my facebook feed was all about this series! Both manga and anime alike. I missed them so much 🌸 KHR gave me the perfect fandom I could’ve ever wished before 💕 I was so happy I witnessed it’s growth. Really wished they adapted the final arc from the manga. That was the most epic plot (even though the last 2-3 chapters seemed too rushed to end)
this was one of the first anime that i binged thru the internet not on tv so this anime has a special place in my heart and i love all the characters in this show even the meaningless side characters
I love Karekyo hitman and I hope that the finals arcs of the manga will be animated one day because they are my favourites arcs of the series This series deserve more and unfortunately many people doesn’t know of the existence of this series and it’s so sad for me as a fan
Dude, I felt emotional by watching this... I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH... I remembered I first started watching it when I was 15 years old back in 2011?? One of my EX-Girlfriends introduced it to me through a private message on a website, and told me to go check it out so I did.... And AAAA-- I loved it ever since. This, and Keroro Gunso/Sgt. Frog are my biggest influences, and without them I don't know where I'll be at today. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK THOUGH BRO, I WOULD LOVE TO SEE MORE FROM YOU~!
Hitman Reborn was my first favorite anime, rewatched it 2 times within a year. This is a great video explaining Hitman Reborn. It reminds me of Super Eyepatch Wolf's videos of Why you should watch/read.
nurarihyon no mago Its got the same family feel aswell as a weak willed Protagonist who grows to have courage to protect whats important (A bit shorter Anime wise and not too sure what the mangas like but its fun)

I remember binging Hitman Reborn and just not being able to do anything else, I'd watch as much as 33 episodes a day. It's definitely one of my favourite series.
Yasss!! I watched this anime when I was 13-14 too and it's one of the best anime I ever watched. It has so much potential, the plot and characters and the future could have been explored more. Too bad, the manga ended abruptly :(
I really hope it continues one day. It really changed my life growing up. I was like Tsuna, nervous scared and no friends and watching him push hinself made me push myself. In a way Reborn was teaching me too.

I was also 14 when I came across this series. KHR was also my first anime and shonen that I watched in its entirety (twice in fact), which developed my taste in anime and made me an otaku. It's my alltime favorite anime! Everything about it was awesome: the characters, the story, the supernatural powers (I'm a sucker for anything fire related, it is my favorite element), the manga, the openings and endings. I love this series so much that I was so sad to not only see the manga end, but to not see it be made into anime. The last two arcs were my favorite and I would have loved to see it animated so badly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for making this video and shedding some light on this amazing and forgotten shonen anime! I really hope more people check this series out thanks to this video!

I don't understand why people would call this anime underated? During the time the show was airing it was insanely popular.
@@lawlacast7107
It became underrated when it ended and its popularity started to drop. Even though it's still awesome, only because it's not ongoing and probably won't have any update, no one talks about it and barely any new people watch it.
I swear its too good
Man, it isn't fair that FMA got like TWO conclusion with it's anime while this didn't even get a proper closure.
Don't say it like FMA for 2 conclusions. It got a remake that adapted the manga properly
@@dreamcastdazia4753 The 1st episode was filler and because I watched the normal one 1st brotherhood kinda felt weird sometimes
If they remake KHR (and if it's done correctly), it could easily be Anime of The Year.

Artland owns Hitman Reborn
Here’s hoping that eventually in the coming years Reborn would come back

This and d.gray man are one of the most underrated animes that needs to be recognized.
It's surprising any shonen jump series is under rated. The only two I would put into that category are Kinnikuman & maybe Toriko's manga.
Definitely think Reborn is amongst those, especially if Toriko is considered underrated despite having a crossover and an attempt to make it the 'next big thing'. Personally love hitman reborn and hope this video helps to show why it's worth checking out!
@Shaman Xeed & yet, no new anime.
Deathperation is so tacky; I hate the Viz translation. Dying Will is what I grew up on and it honestly comes off hard.
This series deserves more love. This is one of my favorite animes ever. Easily in the top 5 for me.
My absolute favorite anime. Thank you for giving it attention. I’d do anything for a new season.
I knew that BNHA was somehow similar to KHR in terms of characters. No wonder I felt off.
The question is which one is better??? My Hero Academia or Hitman Reborn?
A Moh 25 thanks for that info about Hitman Reborn man i’m curious, amma watch that show because it’s really underrated

nurarihyon no mago Its got the same family feel aswell as a weak willed Protagonist who grows to have courage to protect whats important (A bit shorter Anime wise and not too sure what the mangas like but its fun)
Fairy Tail is pretty much Khr with magic
@@jesusinreallife922 Fairy Tail doesn't have decent character progression or well fleshed out fights like KHR though (After seeing the fight with the Fire God Slayer I started to doubt Fairy Tail and then once Natsu and Gageil Lost to the light and dark Dragon slayers then Natsu came back and soloed them with 0 time for recovery I was done with Fairy Tails bs fights)
I also viewed khr at the age of 14. Now that im 22 i still watch it when i have free time. Its so nostalgic :’)
FInally someone is who gives respect to the series that made me an Anime binge watcher and forced me to watch the raws from episode 108 onwards and start reading Manga online!
Edit: Yep you earned yourself a new subcriber ^^
The love for Reborn is still alive!I am honestly surprised by how much love everyone still has for reborn. Thank you for your kind words, and stick around for more of my content I'll be making more videos that any Otaku would love.
@@DBZimran it's not often that I see people talk about it on UA-cam, but when someone does, it makes me and other mafiosos incredibly happy! Glad to see you're one of us!
