The FM signal on 29.850MHz Is an alias from 34MHz, the traffic is the Turkish forestry Fire service. The signal showing the selective fading on the left is the Ghadir OTHR from Iran and the two diagnonal sweeps are the ionosonde from near RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus.

13 minutes in @tech Minds says that SDR Console only lets you go up to 32MHz bandwidth, it does go all the way up to the maximum of 64MHz if you go to "Options" under the "Radio" section of the left hand side controls (While the SDR is running). In there, there is an option to change the "Sampling frequency" to 128 MSPS. Turn the radio off, then on again using the button on the top left and then using the bandwidth dropdown chose 64MHz. My radio is running quite nicely on my laptop at the full 64MHz.

It seems like very nice advanced SDR. I think I need to work up to the higher end units, since I am just starting out and have very limited income. A dual antenna unit sounds great for serious users. I hope to get a basic unit up for Xmas. Thanks for giving me something to aspire to.

I wish you all the best with it! You may learn right away the appliances that have 'switching power supplies' that make A.M. hash/noise. You'll probably experiment with which way to lay an antenna wire for directional receiving, too. You may want to keep a small journal of what you hear day to day, so you can catch the same radio shows the same time daily/weekly. Again, all the best & congratulations. 🇺🇸 😎👍☕

Geez Mat, what kind of review is this? I want to hear the full spread! In 1KHz intervals! And I want it now!!! I'm kidding. Just thought I'd beat them to it, lol. Anyway, cool video. Very neat little SDR. Not a half bad price, either. If I didn't have my HackRF, I might be looking into one of those. The heatsinks are nice, though I don't know how much they will do as they aren't directly in contact with anything other than the two rather thick TIM pads. Most of the heat they see is what radiates to the case and works its way around to them. That said, it's not like they're hurting anything being there, and it will help evacuate a bit more heat than what it normally would with just a slab sided case. But it is really neat bit of kit with a pretty healthy chunk of bandwidth. I may look into one anyway, lol. Thanks for the video, great stuff as always.

Thanks there aren't many good videos in the rx888 mkii.
But you didn't show the see all ham bands at once, see all the FT8 in all of the hf band and the see all shortware broadcast bands at once.
By see I mean it opens a separate window broken up with a boxes for each separate spectrum display for each band. Also you can open up another window and define up to 24 seperate receivers from across the whole hf spectrum. You can individually mute and unmute them. Not sure how useful that is with one human listening.
Also with the large spectrum display you can see frequency sweeping signals like ionosonde. This appears in two places in this video

I would much rather have to deal with a normal USB 3.1 port and even an auxiliary power plug if I had to then to rely on a somewhat elusive USB port design that for the most part a lot of stuff is refusing to use. Not to mention if crap ever hit the fan trying to find another USB connector to connect to that if the one that you have happens to break you're pretty much screwed. I just don't understand people when they design stuff like this not thinking about using common off-the-shelf cables instead of something that's practically proprietary as far as ease of locating in a SHTF scenario.

The truth is that the RX888 MK2 is not compatible with SDR++ nor SDR#, I didn't find anything about that. It works great with HDSDR and Console, but I prefer HDSDR because it is lighter to process. I see the RX888 as an excellent SDR, but it's clear to me that its manufacturer is lazy. It is a total disregard for the consumer that the manufacturer does not provide libraries for LINUX and MAC or even makes it compatible with the most used software such as SDR# and SDR++, so the product loses competitiveness and lags behind cheaper and simpler models. I love SDR receivers, I have a few models, but by far the best is the 14bit RSP1A, the SDplay software is unbeatable because the manufacturer pays a lot of attention to the product, including making it compatible with other software to the customer's taste, this does not happen with the RX888 which in my opinion is much superior in terms of sensitivity to the RSP1A, but loses out as it has almost no compatibility with any popular software. I hope the manufacturer wakes up in time to save him. :(

Don't waste your money. This device is an unstable and unsupported turd. It overheats, locks up, the bias-T doesn't work for more than 2 minutes before overloading and turning off. All of these issues require a reset of the device. Though the RTL-SDR V4 is not as sensitive as the RX888, there are no such issues with it.
