Hi Brad! Great updates for us :) I am disappointed that Bernina took as long as it did for laser. I would love to see a laser demo on half-square triangles and the stitch line going from point to point. The blanket stitch has been demo'd by everyone, I would love to see someone say "Wow, look at this for doing all those half square triangles!" Brother does it, Husqvarna does it, and I was really hoping that Bernina would finally have it. To not have to draw a sewing line anymore would be awesome!
Hi Brad! I found your video after watching the really short video my local sewing machine center posted which made me more curious, and boy am I glad I watched yours! Unfortunately, I’m located in the Seattle area, which is frustrating because you offer a lot more value perks than my dealer, e.g., lifetime 1-on-1 instruction, 10% discount on notions and 5-yr maintenance services. A few years ago I was diagnosed with a horrible disease which caused brain damage and eventually a minor stroke, but the worst thing was literally losing almost everything I owned, including my 3 machines and $1000’s of accessories, notions, fabrics, etc. I was finally able to replace my 3 machines (1 new, 2 certified refurbished), which cost me about $5000, plus I’ve spent at least another $5000 for accessories and notions, but I got really frustrated with trying to attend the group instruction classes and haven’t been able to talk them into 1-on-1 instruction (which I would happily pay extra for), and because of my short/long-term memory issues, it’s hard to retain the information during the courses because they are too rushed for me to take proper notes. My very first sewing machine and serger I bought 24 years ago were Berninas, which I absolutely loved, so the idea of upgrading to this single machine that can basically do everything I want, and MUCH more, is very enticing! Thanks for producing this amazing machine review which went into so much more detail, especially showing the “Creative Consultant” function, which I wrote down as “Sewing for Dummies”, which is how I feel most of the time because it literally feels like I’m totally new to sewing because I lost so much of my memory.
Brad, nice video. Will the 790 Pro’s Wi-Fi be able to connect smartphone if you just have Bernina’s Creator software? I already have another software and didn’t want the professional level the V9 provides. Thank you,MKL
You can connect to the stitchout app on your phone without any software at all. My understanding is that creator v9 will send designs wirelessly from your pc to the 790 pro as well.
I just bought mine hardly used at all and I’m so excited to use it. Thanks for outlining your top 10! I found this very helpful

The lazers were on the long arms only until now.
