yeah, that's the thing I don't get, like how they actually think after all the times she and Stefan walked away from each other or the fact she didn't see a future with him THEY think SE is endgame. DE had a REAL JOURNEY, it wasn't meeting and falling at first sight. they took four seasons to get there. she never saw a future with Stefan, everytime he mentioned it she shut it down. with Damon, a future is all she saw. she chose to stay a vampire for him, she wanted to spend FOREVER with him, she died with him, she called him her soulmate, she compelled her memories away because she loved him TOO MUCH and it almost killed her. now after all of that people still think she'll end up with Stefan after proving time and time again she lives Damon more than she EVER loved Stefan, how?! what she'll wake up and SUDDENLY love Stefan, that'd be ooc, forced, and make absolutely NO SENSE. DE is ENDGAME and ppl need to get over it.

I love how Stefan originally gave Elena that necklace and hope for them. But, it was ALWAYS Damon who brought it back to her! Season 3×1 at her 18th birthday party, he brings it to her again. And she asks him to put it on her. That is the moment she fell in love with Damon ( which was revealed in season 6, when Elena tells Alaric). He also puts it on her in season 1 after Stefan and Elena betrays him, and shes trying to get his trust back. And for Caroline to use the necklace to get Damons humanity back, since Elena is gone. Is pure genous. Cause she knew what that necklace meant to Elena and Damon. It truly is powerful and magical, as the love that Damon and Elena have for each other.
