Katya was able to tell exactly what was happening with Alaska during her coreography. That queen has got a keen eye.

nothing will ever be as iconic as this. the production has obviously improved since this was the very first girl group challenge, but everything else is unbeatable.
@@santana_lopez Did the production improve? Only set design, maybe. The recording and mixing are MUCH WORSE. AS5's finale and DRUK S2 finale are impossible to understand and the songs sound very bad. The choreography is absolutely not better either
@@RNCHFND That's definitely a problem, their voice mixing is worse. Nobody is given any vocal instruction either, so it's just...no good.
@@RNCHFND I think it was really good for s12 though. Jaida and Jackie's vocals in losing is the new winning *rough* and they made it sound really good. And MNEK did a good job with UK hun. So I think it just depends on the team.

The production on Roxxys part was a bit unfair. They didn't even pitch correct her singing part and they do that with every queen.

@@joeymdistasio To me it sounds like they used her raw vocals with just some filter on them. They should have done pitch correction. Her singing part is so loud too, it's not blended with the rest of the song, and the filter makes her sound so nasal.
If you go and listen to the AS5 "I'm in love" raw vocals you'll see how much they change the queens' voices to sound good yet Roxxy got nothing :P

Katya’s performance here, without a doubt is the best performance (choreography + lyrics) in RPDR history.

I’ve always loved Alaska, and will continue to.
Though she handled being labelled a snake with grace and humour, it didn’t feel right to me because even when you look back on her seasons, she’ll talk with everyone and be a true friend to them.
Like, a brat? Yes. Misguided in saving your friends? Yes (but if you’re not in that situation, you can’t say you wouldn’t do the same). But a snake? Sorry, but no.
Agreed. Her decision to save her friends in AS2 irks me but her being nice to Jinx at the tail end of season 5 while roxy and detox went off at her nonstop will forever redeem her for me

Alaska won because she excelled, so who was more talented that lost to her? Alaska is the whole package, she's become a decent singer, is naturally hilarious, can ad lib, improvise, act, do stand up, variety, host, present, write/create and give top notch, polished, accomplished drag. Alaska will be around for a long time, because that kind of talent will always have a demand.
