Video Summary: Degradation of Cutscenes in Assassin's Creed! If you enjoyed this video, show some love in the form of likes and comments. Thank you for watching :)
Wow, Unity is defenetly the best out of them. The lip-sync is perfect (you can read the words on the lips, the emotions in their faces are incredible an the camera doing great job.
I do think Unity's cutscenes have mediocre direction though despite looking incredible. The camera angles and quick cuts are really annoying. Compare that to Origins, and it's night and day.
Odyssey had some pretty good cutscenes Febe's death, the battle under Termopiles, Leonidas death. Even Valhalla had some of really good looking cutscenes Almost every scene with Fulke was really polished, and Basim's bonfire scene looked really good These games looks really good at the most important moments in the story
@@jacksonntp617 I mean, like the guy said, it's only some cutscenes, in the games pre Odyssey all the cutscenes were well designed instead of just a couple.
Or maybe we went from having every cutscene being beautifully mocapped to garbage procedural generated actions that make your character look like an animatronic? But hey, at least we got about 10 good looking cutscenes!
@@Truquoh that's your problem This is how game developing works You can't make big open world with 200+ hours of story where every cutscence looks like Unity
@@maciejpolak2458 That's the problem, we have 200 hours of useless, disconnected content that fails to push the narrative & lacks any meaningful RPG elements in an RPG game. It would be fine if these dialogue choices actually mattered but they rarely impact the gameplay so there is no point in having them It also builds dozens of retcons on a series that was already built on dozens of retcons & on top of all of that useless content majority of the lines of dialogue are so abhorrently disconnected with the characters actual morals that it makes every piece of dialogue useless again
To be fair you didn't do justice to the last three games. In Odyssey every Leonidas scene looked great. In Valhalla there is the bonfire scene and all the other mocap cutscenes. In Mirage aswell. They did some cutscenes in mocap and they were pretty good Choosing smaller moments with the Ai generated cutscenes shows the problems of the last few games but there is greatness in them aswell
C'mon Ubisoft, Most of the cutscenes in the upcoming AC Red need to be cinematic and properly mocaped!

Shhh, don't say it out loud. Layla Trilogy haters love to be nitpicky and shit at the latest installments for the sake of hating.

Rogue is best

it all went downhill with the shit dialogues on odyssey
How is Odyssey an improvement of origins? Games garbage in every way😂
Especially when it comes to cutscenes, minus a few exceptions a majority of the game is very stiffly animated
