I just realised that I've watched this video more than 15 times in 2 years and haven't commented yet. I kinda regret not saying this earlier. It's so well done and very captivating. At no point did it break my attention. Amazing job🔥
I’m moving to Dublin this Saturday and will be attending TCD too. As the date approaches, the emotions are growing as well. However, this video pushed the emotions more to the “positive” side rather than the “negative” one. Thank you for this video and all the advice, made me feel a bit better, now I’m really looking forward to the whole experience! :)
Thank you so much for this video! I've been dreaming to travel for years. And in two years, I want to do the Erasmus program which helps me to study abroad for one year. And Ireland would be my choice. Plus I love the way you made your video, I can't stand videos where people literally can't stop talking, you make cuts in yours and it's easier to follow !
This is a really helpful video! I'm not a student anymore, but I moved to Dublin right after I graduated college and a lot of this still applies. I LOVE living here. I've been posting weekly vlogs of my trips around Europe since moving here.
Thank you so much for this! I'm going to be a TCD student and I'm rather overwhelmed with nerves these days. Your video makes me so hyped up for what's to come 🥰
Awesome heads up. I’ll be going over to Ireland in 10 excruciatingly long days. Great insight on things most people overlook, especially an American like me. I cant wait to start my journey but i need to get these things down pat and this really helped. I definitely enjoyed the video. Well done Andrew and good luck!
Easily the most well-rounded video I've seen on Dublin. Stellar work, Andrew! Adding to the content itself, the stylistics of videomaking was very enlightening! Subscribed!
OMG! I'm just 1:14 into the video, and I'm already thrilled!💖😁 Love this guy's presentation! Edit [finished viewing]: Kudos to you, Andrew, for making such a detailed tutorial -- it totally anticipated all my questions before I even knew I had them! 😂 -- Much appreciated!
My son was just accepted to TCD, so we're on the adventure of getting him there and set up in Sept. You've provided a lot of key information that we needed to put my mind at ease. Thank you for doing this/ Any advice on the ISD process?
The coolest vlog till date... 😎🤘 Your tips are going to prove handy for me... Thankyou so much...😍 Really looking forward to having my best time in Dublin next year...
Holy shit one of the best video blogs right here. And when I almost decided to come here to study masters in sports from India the last line bamboozled me;;;Amazon is not there, man how will I survive,I am in love with Amazon India.
you have that slightly wrong. Irish people shop amazon through amazon.co.uk. tip. pay in sterling price not to get ripped off with exchange. Shipping is the only extra cost that you can get around using parcel motel (this gives you a northern irish and thus a uk address
Right, I saw that it was through the UK, which added import costs. Clever method using a Northern Irish address. I ended up finding everything I need via IKEA and Tesco.
Thanks for the video. I'm moving there in a few weeks to start my PhD. This has been a really interesting insight into the moving process with a lot less hassle.
Hello. I enjoyed the video and found your tips very helpful. However I have some additional questions. 1) Do you pay any college fees and if yes how much do you pay 2) From the video I understood that you have part-time job.(or full time job, correct me if I am wrong). How much do you get paid per month and what do you work? 3) How much do you pay for you rent? 4) And after you work do you have enough time to study. That is all I want to know and I would be pleased if you answer me. Thank you in advance.😀
I'm happy to answer your questions! 1) I paid around $25,000 for my year studying at Trinity. 2) I didn't have a traditional part time job. I started my own online company and continued to run that during my studies. There wasn't a consistent income stream from that though. 3) My rent was 650 euro a month. 4) I did have time to study, work on my company, travel, and hang with friends.
Hey andrew 🙌 U r just awesome dude ❤️😍 I will be in ireland for studies probably next year so i found your video sooo amazing and informative 😇 Keep it up buddy and take care 🤗🤗 Love from India ❤️
Aaaah thankyou sooooo much for this video! It's amazing to get really helpfull tips from someone who actually is an abroad student. Hopefully I'll study Acting at the LIR Academy (its from Trinity). It isn't that easy to find an abroad student with good advice. I'm from the Netherlands (Amsterdam) Im definately going to save this vid in my fav so when I'm in, I can use your advice :D THANKS!!
Thank you for the useful video. and please me more videos about student affairs.@@AndrewChwalik I just have one question. I am planning to go there but I don't know how much money should i bring to cover my University's Fees and living.
You can look on the school website for their course fees. As for living, it depends on your lifestyle. For my course fees and living for a full year, I had just over $30,000.
I just received my offer letter from TCD 2 days ago. And I have been working on visa and all! I just say I found this video at great timing! I have never been outside my country (which is weird to my friends xD they all think I travel a lot haha) . I will be the first person in my family to study abroad. I’m sooooo excited for this 🥺🥺✨. Thanks for all the informative tips. The video was well put and interesting! I am definitely travelling rest of Europe. I did not think it would be this cheap to travel.
Honestly it's the 1st vlog that is really really awesome and tells about Ireland in detail. Keep up the good work! Also What is your opinion about UCD ?
Alright. I’m going to Antrim Northern Ireland so obviously it’ll be a little different. However, how did the financial situation work out more in depth? I’ve made it throughout college without debt so far by working full time but going from Michigan (Ik you said you’re from Ohio, don’t worry I’m not a student at the blue school) to Northern Ireland it’ll all be different.
Haha a neighbor up north, nice! I actually think it’ll be a bit easier for you financially because Dublin is just so dang expensive. You’ll probably be able to get a job as well if you’d like.
@andrew chwalik, thanks for sharing this most epic "how to" video. Traveling is definitely part of my plan. What was your main field of study while in Dublin?

Glad you found it helpful! Have some fun over there for me!
Hi Andrew, it's over 4 years since you posted this up. If I had to guess I'd say you're doing great, you certainly have the skills.
Thanks! Things are still an adventure and I’m loving it!
Rule #1 Irish people pronouce Ireland with two syllables Ir-land, not I-re-land, thank you
Haha thanks for the words of wisdom! 🙌🏼
ikr i hate it when ppl pronounce it the wrong way it urks me
I actually had no idea it was pronounced that way. I think I’ve heard some Irish people actually pronounce it the other way!
I do think the accent differences make it sound unique in terms of how it’s said.
@@AndrewChwalik it's OK, as an irish person, don't mind thos3 ppl!
Thank you so much for this. Any doubts or hesitation I had are gone, this calls to me so much.
I’m glad the video helped! Ireland really is an awesome place!

Try get accomodation before you come, it's a nightmare here at the moment. It's really expensive, especially Dublin.
Great advice. It really was difficult so do as much research as possible before you get to Dublin.
