I could listen to Rich Mancuso talking about New York all day.
As an Italian American in FL. (but first generation) I found this video heartwarming...like listening an uncle's story and walking through his life...fantastic. Thank you.
How are the cannolis in Florida ? Many Blessings grew up with Italians many moons ago in the old Bronx
is specially heartwarming the part where he states how the italians would gather in Cicarone handball court to discuss how they would clean up the neighborhood from the undesirables. very heartwarming.
I loved this stream with Mr. Rich Mancuso. Thanks, AK, "Kenny," "Kid," for inviting him. This is exactly the type of learning about NYC is what I appreciate the most.
Wonderful stories from the friendly sir. Its lovely to hear other people's memories and see the place through their eyes. Thank you, Very nice walk.
is specially heartwarming the part where he states how the italians would gather in Cicarone handball court to discuss how they would clean up the neighborhood from the undesirables. very heartwarming.
I like this guy, he knows the bronx like the back of his hand
Well he did grow up there
Hello guys! What think about this walking? ua-cam.com/video/rFarTJpZdiA/v-deo.html
Ahh hmmm.. not to take away from this guy. He literally passed a grip of history from Marion Ave until he got to JHS 45. There is no Columbus statue there, it was moved in the 90s to a park by saint barn.
Ummmm ,,, Bestbuy on Webster ave was Sears for many years,,
Yes Rich is like a diccionary , he knows everythings of bronx. Very smart this man.
I love this! Listening to stories from older people is so interesting... they know and they lived it... true history! I love his Bronx accent! Thanks 😊 🧐❤️
AK is so nice to see you have got Friends like Mr. Rich of Bronx, New York who not only has the knowledge about the Burrows where he lives but knows every inch of happenings that takes place in Bronx including what kind of Atmosphere exists in each different Lanes of this great Burrows.
Thank you Mr Rich for your kind input which surely has taken us here more deep into what Bronx Truely means to you and the People that live there. Wish you Mr Rich Good Health and A Long and Happy Life. Thank you AK. for bringing in Friends like Mr Rich on your streams. Good Luck and stay safe. Ananda& friends. Kathmandu, Nepal
Great neighborhood stories by Rich Mancuso. I loved when he took you inside his church and was talking about the street where he grew up. Reminds me of my childhood home on the Lower East Side...very special memories. Thank you, AK for posting!
You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
You should bring him back for a part 2!!! I want to his old childhood block. I like his stories!
For sure you have to have him back for part 2 , he knows this place like no other ..
is specially heartwarming the part where he states how the italians would gather in Cicarone handball court to discuss how they would clean up the neighborhood from the undesirables. very heartwarming.
so nice having a local expert to walk with, knows all the details and history
Good to hear from a Bronx local.
specially the part where he states how the italians would gather in Cicarone handball court to discuss how they would clean up the neighborhood from the undesirables. very heartwarming.
@@theronin sounding like a triggered "undesirable"
I could listen to this guy all day long. Well done AK, really interesting walk.
I'll be featuring him on the channel again soon!
@@ActionKid Yeah, that is pretty good, very much looking forward
Fantastic! Mr. Mancuso is a treasure. Making education fun. Good work!
Yea it's cool to learn about someone else and their experiences.
is specially heartwarming the part where he states how the italians would gather in Cicarone handball court to discuss how they would clean up the neighborhood from the undesirables. very heartwarming.
I really liked this old timer, he knows the bronx like the back of his hand and, he's a very good storyteller. Respect to him.
One of the best walking tours ever!. Mr. Mancuso was a fantastic storyteller and guide and you a nice and respectful young man who let him lead the tour for this time.
I never miss a show, my favorites are the walks. This one in the Bronx is on of the best.
I love this walk! What a nice man. He knows so much about the Bronx and his stories were wonderful!
Great neighborhood, very special memories by Rich Mancuso Thanks again to both of you.
I like this kind of video testimony because cities are not just buildings but people and their stories. He keeps inviting people like this gentleman who enrich the walk. Good job, AK!
Action Kid, you simply rock! Thank you for another great video log of my beloved New York with Rich Mancuso, an awesome guest.
I’m really enjoying this video, Mr. Mancuso is so knowledgeable about the neighborhood I guess because he’s lived there. What Is it about mothers, when he was talking about his mother calling him my mom was the same. I swear mothers know how to make their voices be heard for a long way.
Good old days and it was heart warming to see him seeing his old friends he haven’t seen for a long time. If I go back home I’ll cry I feel it I have to go back to East New York Brooklyn. And that church omggg sooo good that things are still there. It was upsetting to see that the wall with the flag for peace is gone but I do wish this was live I loved this video.
As a kid I lived in east treamont and the concourse and used to walk with my dad to Fordham road abs back and what’s funny was we were walking by Fordham University once and since the campus is so big I thought it was a park and tried to get it and was stopped by security
Funny how decades later I graduated from there
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have not walked on Fordamn in years... Good to see it again. Great tour to you both.
A different type of video. It's very calming and his remanissing is nice. I liked the history.
That's a great idea by AK to get a neighborhood " insider " to accompany him on this tour . A great idea to do far a way places like Staten Island .
I love this so much. I went to Christopher Columbus High School. I was a small kid growing up in the Belmont section of the Bronx in the 90s & I remember how different it was even then from what it’s like now. Thank you AK. This was a nice tour of my old neighborhood.
I’m in Christopher Columbus high rn
I grew up on Hughes ave, in fron tof the library, is specially heartwarming the part where he states how the italians would gather in Cicarone handball court to discuss how they would clean up the neighborhood from the undesirables. very heartwarming.
Oh lawd, remember shopping at Alexander's and Dollar Savings Bank and the Paradise movie theatre. By the time I moved to the Bronx, the movie theater was already closed. Good times! Sears was at Fordham & Webster Ave. Used to shop there to.
I had an apartment near Fordham Road close to the metro north station when I was in graduate school in the early 90s.
Appreciate that you make the effort to be inclusive by bringing a diversity of viewpoints to your channel. Enjoyed Mr. Mancuso's stories of growing up in this neighborhood and the changes he's witnessed over the decades. This makes me wonder what transformations will take place in the next 3-4 decades.
Thoroughly enjoyed this Bronx walk with the stories and perspective from Rich Mancuso, AK!
This was awesome! We're going to need a part 2 as he seems to have a lot more to say and share.
Born and raised in the Bronx and now live out of state. Soundview, Lambert and Co-op city., Rice High school. When me and my best friend who was Puerto Rican would go through Little Italy to meet our other friend who was Italian, This is the late 70's. We would get stopped all the time and have to give his name before they would let us continue. Good times in NYC. Thank you Ak
We did a lot of shopping at Alexanders. I still go to Fordahm when i visit. Love the Bronx.
Ak, love the stories from these old timers, you could turn it into a series. I met an old timer once in central park and talked to the gentlemen for about an hour, he had a lot of great stories from the past about manhattan and central park, I really enjoyed the talk with the gentlemen.
I met a woman at Grand Central who had worked there for years. She told me about all the secrets years before folks started making UA-cam videos.
And he enjoyed the talk with you.
Yes please do a series!
Oh my gosh I remember Fordham, I was born at the Bronx and I had some young memories when I was a young child living in the bronx back in the early 90's and I remember shopping at Fordham so much discount store and also I have family in the Bronx from my father side of the family, which I'm not connected with them anymore but now I live in New Jersey and rise in NJ NOW!
I also graduated in 1975 from high school. My dad who was from Brooklyn was born in 1927 used to tell stories about Brooklyn all his life. Much the same as Rich. I enjoyed this vid. Even when he got some things wrong it was right. It is always good to see the world thru someone else's eyes.
I used to read this guy’s column when I was growing up. I didn’t know he, like me, was from the Bronx.
Wow! Really enjoyed this tour... Really wonderful when you have guests who grew up in areas!
He provided so much information and it's great that you know each other. Wonderful to hear other local's perspectives and personal history.
Good stuff! NYC is so much more than just Times Square or lower Manhattan.
Rich is awesome, keep bringing him back !
Living history indeed, as Mr. Shugert says below. Wonderful extra dimension for the channel. Thanks to both of you!
Enjoyed this one Ken, great upload as always thanks 👍

Fantastic.... 😍. Thank you Ken, and my thanks to Rich too! We 'older' guys do have a lot of happy memories, but the most enjoyment comes from sharing them with others 😊
Love this!! Great to hear about the neighborhood 💗🌹🇺🇸 Thank you to you and your friend for sharing!!
Fantastic video, i can listen to this guy all day long
Rich Mancuso from the Bronx News back in the day! Great to see you!
Oh my goodness this has got to be one of my favorite videos you've ever done, I love that guy that you're with he epitomizes old school New York...
One of your best videos - the personal history tour is fascinating!
Thanks ActionKid, super authentic. Loved your guest!
This was extremely nostalgic for me to watch, especially the little Italy segment part. I raised my kids there, so many memories walking through all those neighborhoods and just reminiscing on the good times.❤️
This vlog is so nice.... Walking with the local resident and sharing his old experience the entire conversation between both of you so nice ..
Very good informative vlog and i like it.
I used to live on Fordham Rd & Grand Concourse. There's so much history in that neighborhood that the folks living there have a hard time understanding & appreciating.
This guy was great, bring him back again !
Living history and a $50 free tour. Takes me back to a world gone away. Seems like yesterday.
Enjoyed very much!!! He really knows this neighborhood!!! Very interesting!!!
Enjoyed hearing Mr. Mancuso’s info. Very enjoyable. I really love your collaborations with locals. Digging it Action Kid!
this time I learn more about NY than ever before! Thank you
great work
all his beautiful people in good mood.
greetings to NY from germany
I grew up in Fordham. There are so many positive comments I have about this video . The one thing I will comment on now is. That you said at the end of this video is that Arthur Ave was a safe place, and the locals were protected. Yes, they were, my grandmother lived on Hoffman. She told me how the locals were safe and trouble in general just did not happen there. You could go out late night or early morning not a problem you were safe. Great video.
I’ve learned a lot about the Bronx today! Fascinating stories and Tour!
I really enjoyed this, very entertaining and informative. Thanks!! 👍🏼💯💥
Archie and Edith "ActionKid" Bunker: 🎶"Guys like us we had it made,
Those were the days.
" 🎶👈🏻😂
Loved hearing Rich's stories.. Would like to hear his stories about his neighbourhood where he grow up... Thank you...
Very informative video. Your gustes make video more interesting. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks AK. Appreciate this perspective from a resident of NY.
It’s a new decade and a new generation so of course things are gonna change you have to get with the generation. It feels like home to this generation like how it felt like home in your generation. But it makes me sooooo happy to see people out and about. But nice collaboration. And it was nice to hear about the history omgg it was really nice. Loooove hearing about the history.
Tell Rich I said thank you! This was an awesome tour! I was riveted, nearly the whole time. LOL was good to see the kitty, she was cute.
Loved this video! Rich is great! He should do many more videos. He was so interesting!
Absolutely loved this video. Rich was a great guide. I just wanted to add that RKO was demolished in 1987. I remember the last time I went to the RKO on a regular basis was 1983. Also, I realized that he didn’t mention Woolworth’s on Fordham RD. I moved out of the Bronx in 1991. What an amazing blast from the past for me. Thank you!
Great walk, Kid. Very interesting tour with Rich!
Hi AK great tour in the Bronx! Nice very cool!
Tolentine ‘83. Thank you for this. Warms my heart.
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
this type of informative video is more benificial then others !!!!!
Great video....I love hearing about how things were there years ago
Wow! That was amazing.. when pandemic calms down I want to walk around interesting places like The Bronx.. thanks for the journey and inspiration.. respect from Scotland 💚😎✊
Loved this episode! Watched ever second. That was very informational. Would like to see more from that area. Arthur Ave looks like my kinda place!
Wanting to thank you for taking me down memory lane. Saw your video of Coop City and I am watching this one on tv right now. Lived in both around Fordham ( 193 between Webster and Decatur) and in Coop City back in the 70s and 80s. Live in Florida now but great to see the Bronx again!
Wow very interesting, this is a video to keep. History lesson!
Wow! Mr. Rich can keep up with Actionkid!! Thx for giving us the insider’s guide to Arthur Ave. You are going to develop a whole new following, Mr. Rich! Thx Actionkid ❤️
this was great, loved hearing about the old neighborhood! would be cool to hear more,
Enjoying this tour its really interesting about the bronx history
Enjoyed this video, you're friend was very informative he knows the area.
Thank you for all of the information! You both rock! :)
I love your guest segments
The part when he said take the chicken heads and scare their girlfriends was funny lol disgusting and horrible but funny.
I moved to the Bronx because my husband was raised here. I loved this video and i love this borough. Btw, we mexicans joke about the fact that there are so many of us in Little Italy... we say it is because we saw the italian flag and thought it was the mexican flag lol. Thanks for the video.
Wow I left the Bronx in 1989 and it still looks the same , thanks for the video you’ve done a great job.
Alexander's where I had my first job back in 1975. No piles of garbage in the streets back then. I remember going to the market as a kid. I was overwhelmed by all the sounds and the aromas.
Tooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many people! Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much litter! Even so, really enjoyed listening to Rich Mancuso.
The don’t have trash cans in the Bronx and if they don’t, they don’t get serviced 🙄
I’m in a small town near Niagara Falls Canada!🇨🇦🇨🇦love hearing and seeing New York....we are on the boarder of Niagara Falls New York but have always wanted to go here!...❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Loved this! Such an interesting gentleman!
Nice! I used to live on Valentine in the Bronx! Miss it
Great video AK. Love seeing all the history about New York.
Great vid !
Sharing memories and experience from a native to the Fordham Rd neighbourhood was very nice.
Shows your true respect for NYC living places and memories.
Just great ActionKid ! Keep up your work !
