I've yet to use my CIS fleet only just got my Invisible hand so really need another Munificent but Trench looked interesting and need to see how he plays still need to get to grips with dials but will give him a go at some point.
he is interesting for sure, but just way to expensive for the effect and why would you take trench whose effect is hard to plan and difficult to get full use of, when you can just take dooku, martuuk or tf :/
Yeah, thats pretty much how I feel about Trench. I would say that Trench is the closest "Squadron Commander" that CIS have though because of being able to activate a lot of them. But then it runs into the same issue as Sato, where you want a lot of squadrons, but you need ships to take full advantage of Trenchs ability. It plays at odds with each other.
@@SWAE agreed, but then again my friends and i think that seps have the worst squadrons in general, the bomber are nice if you can ai them since 2 red have, in comparison to other bomber for the same price, the most dmg output but the other 3 factions handle squadrons just a lot better Edit: why would you need squadron commands if you can just go for hyperwave signal for cheap and still get benefits from a better commander and spare yourself the squadron commands ^^
I built a fleet with T-series, parts/munitions resupplies, and Trench. It allowed me to do both con fire and engineering a couple of times.
Yup, some folks do lean into the "just do more dials" approach with Trench. 😁
Thrawn works with any fleet whereas Trench NEEDS the fleet built around him.

I really enjoy Trench with a bunch of ships running nav dials and using Con Fire tokens handed to them by a Munitions resupply.

Hyperwave Signal is a terrible card. You know that it doesn't let squadrons move and shoot right?
@@SWAE isnt the last sentence of the card squadrons are treated as if activated by a squadron command?
@@peternubaum4514 For adding the extra die for AI for attacking.
Not that it can move and shoot. No.
