These patches are priceless! I got the Hydrasynth Patches too a while back. Always inspirational every time I get into these. I play your demos in the background while I'm at work. Keep up the good work. Look forward to more releases!
Just added these to my collection of your patches, (Deepmind 12, Hydrasynth, & now these..), and they're up to your usual ear caressing standard. You can really hear your influences, in all of your patches.., Boards of Canada being foremost, with a sprinkling of Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, Carbon Based Lifeforms & others in there too. I'll be hooking up my Zoom MS-70CDR FX pedal to my Microfreak later tonight and losing myself, Ambient jam a go-go! Thank you and keep those patches coming, they're wonderful. :) P.S. For anyone who has a microfreak, grab yourself a MS-70CDR or another multi-FX pedal, it transforms the machine. Why they didn't include an FX section baffles me, it really does make a huge difference.
Thank you for all the thoughts. Yes, my patches are strongly inspired by the mentioned artists. A collage of classic and psychedelic electronic music from 80-90 :) And yes, with some great FXs Microfreak just shines.
I have all three of those as well and would recommend them to anyone, some of, if not the top patches I have for each synth that really make them shine.
Wow, these presets are very impressive! Seem to fit the atmosphere I was looking for, I know this demo has wet sound, but they make the MicroFreak sound pretty rich compared to most metallic tinny presets.
Excellent work on the Microfreak Patches! Breathes new life into my Arturia Microfreak, as even with the Factory 6.0 presets loaded (all 384) I had whittled down the list of ones I liked to about 20 presets. With this new set, I'm just exploring and first 20 are already great. And I'll watch the video again to also workout the sounds I like - and enjoy the often great, spaced-out visuals. One tip is that when a patch is loaded, experimenting with changing the Digital Oscillator Type often leads to some very interesting results. Keep up the good work!
Indeed! A great idea is the fact that when changing the type of engine, all other parameters remain the same, including the modulation matrix. This allows you to search for new solutions very efficiently or simply experiment. A fantastic feature.
...and these days, you can pick a MicroFreak up used for almost nothing. I just got one, and it's amazed me thus far...... ua-cam.com/video/bWh6b98rtMU/v-deo.htmlsi=qhrQTe3tHGx31nLh
