I don’t really want more software as I use Embrilliance. Just wondering if this will work with just the kit without the software or is that necessary to set up the card?

I transferred a design to my Luminaire, and inside the design transfer screen, it still shows the design in the writing list. If I want to keep that cleared out once I transfer the design, it looks like all I have to do is right click, and select Remove from writing list. Is there any reason I would want to keep the design in the writing list? Thanks.
No reason to keep it at all. You can always add it back if you ever need to. I like to delete mine to keep it all nice and neat. Also, you'll need to go in every once in awhile and delete the designs in your machine that you sent over wirelessly. Thanks!
HI Becky. I wound this by searching for Baby Lock instead of Brother (I have a Solaris 2) but, it says I have to contact my dealer to get it, even though its free. I have Embrilliance and have used WIFI to transfer designs to my machine before but cannot figure out how to do it again. Which of your videos shows how to send designs from Embrilliance to my machine?
Hi Ellen, just download the DDT like I showed and use it exactly the same. It works! No dealer intervention required. :) In Embrilliance, just go to Utility in the top menu, then Send to Solaris/XP1. It's the same technology. Enjoy!
Thanks for the info. Can this Transfer file be used with other brands of embroidery machines I have two other machines with WiFi and and other file than PEC.. I dont quilt but enjoy watching
Becky, I have a Luminaire and I followed your directions exactly to wirelessly transfer designs but I am confused as to how to pull it up on my machine.
I downloaded this did what you said . My pes files are there but I can’t get them to transfer. I also tried to put them on a flash drive and my stellaire won’t read the flash drive……….HELP ME! Do I need a smaller flash drive, it’s 64 gig. I have this wonder machine that I can’t files on. And yes the machine is on when I tried to transfer.
This is fine but nobody addresses what to do when the "add" button is pressed and no machine shows up, after hitting refresh still no. It worked fine before one machine update. My machine is 1 month old!
I believe that's an issue with the machine vs. the DDT software. I've heard of this before. Please contact your dealer. Some machines had a hiccup in their wireless after Artspira was installed (if that's what happened). Some have told me that their dealers replaced their new machines because of this issue. Be insistent - it's not you or the DDT utility software. Brother is aware of this because I talked to some of the reps at the last Houston Quilt Fest about it and they channeled it back to them (or so they said).
I have downloaded a png file to a pes file twice now and each time I try to upload it to the Design Database Transfer app it cannot/will not. I have used two different file converters and still nothing. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? I am on a Windows 11. Thanks for your help/advice.

I went to BabyLock and they did say this would work on the Solaris. I have a BL Meridian and it worked! Did my first transfer. Hurray! I did need to make sure to be on the same LAN connection that my machine was on.

In your machine's settings, there will be the option to connect your machine to your home router. If you don't see that option, then your machine doesn't have wireless capabilities.
This is probably a dumb question, but, how would I get a purchased pes file from Etsy in to design database in the first place? I bought the design and downloaded it into my computer. It is living on my desk top until I figure out how to get it into design database transfer. Thank you!
Usually when you buy a design, it comes as a zip file you'll need to extract. Then it should be as easy to drag/drop into a folder where you store your designs to transfer. Grab the pes file with your mouse (don't double click) and drag it to a folder to use to transfer. I created a folder on my desktop called EmbDesigns that is just for my files to transfer to my machines.

In the video at 1:42, I go over the required operating systems and it only showed Windows OS. I mentioned that it 'should' would on a Mac if you are running Parallels and a Windows OS, but I wasn't sure if it would work or not.

Yes, I'm using Win 11 now and just installed the DDT utility on my new laptop. Works great!
I used this successfully using Boot Camp partition on my Mac.
Excellent! Thank you. I think you can do it with that because it's a Utility vs. a full-fledged application like Simply Applique.

If your machine is wireless capable, that means this program is designed to work with your machine. It doesn't work with non-wireless machines.

Oh my! You need a 4GB thumb (flash) drive or smaller. Embroidery machines don't have enough capacity to index a 64GB drive.
