      Thanks. I looked beforehand to help myself change the brakes. Couldn't find anything worthwhile, so I made up my own posting of how to do it.

    I was about a day away from paying a mobile motorcycle mechanic to come by and change my brakes before watching this video. Just saved me $50, and it only took me about 15 minutes.

    This was super helpful as I am about to do my brakes and was dreading all the bolts that I was seeing. You really saved the day for me. Thanks

    you forgot to mention the squeel can also be caused by crooked pads .. problem occurs when you have nasty dirty sliding pins like it LOOKS like you have here :D, should prob clean those ;) or perhaps they wherent as dirty as they look, also bad idea to grab the mid like u did here :) u can put a grove in it and it wont slide propper .. and ofc squeeling brakes again :) . ty for the video dude helped alot of people i think :)

    Great for the rear. The front seems more involved because of the fender & two screws holding on the pad cover.

    Wow. This is amazing. I was about to try to take the entire caliper off (recommendation from another video I watched) glad I found this. I do have a question, does your rear rotor have some play in it, ive done some reading and found that it is a floating rotor, but it still makes me a little nervous.

      Glad the video helped. I don't think the rotor should have play in it but you might want to get a professional opinion.

    Would the fresh engine oil suffice as a 'grease' on the back side of the pad?

      I'm sure any kind of lubricant would work to stop the squeal. Happy trails this summer!

    What year Intruder is that? I have a '04 1500 Intruder LC and I think my back caliper has two pistons, so I'm wondering if I can do my brakes the same way 🤔

    • @EarlSenchuk
      @EarlSenchuk  4 роки тому +3

      It's a 1999. I'm sure once you get in there you'll find similarities. Good luck. It's a lot easier when you know how.

    Great video! Does the same principle apply for the front brakes? I have a 02 intruder and the front brakes squeak. Thanks for the help!

      I believe so, but not sure because it is a few years newer.
