The spent casing isn't for tracking.
It's just to prove that the gun was shot by its quality assurance. It's more for them that their employees are made responsible for each unit that comes out the factory.
It’s a quality control thing like you said and I could have sworn there was at least one or two states like California that required them to have the casing on file for the unique firing pin indentation as well

First I've seen of it. For a little over half the cost of a new G 17, I might like it a lot, if it runs. RIA makes some good stuff. My one question would be--with the lightened slide, how well would it hold up with NATO/+P+ pressure rounds?
I think it’ll stand up to firing hotter loads just fine like if you occasionally practice with spicy carry rounds but a steady diet of +p+ will cause premature wear on most anything the lightning cuts aren’t overly drastic or anything I think they are mostly for looks on this specific firearm Im not sure if I mentioned it also has a stainless guide rod as well! I think they’ve really packed this gun with features for the price point I do plan on getting some shooting videos up in the future so if you want drop a like and subscribe and thanks for watching…..I’ve also got a video up on another budget gun the Tisas M1911A1

@@quentinjackson3778 I’m not sure buds gun shop online has it currently for 367-378 I think it’s still a good buy at that price and the site I got it from rural king is sold out at the moment you could probably check with a local dealer and see about getting one ordered as well

Heck I’d probably buy one to try out I do have an updated range vid up on the STK I had some reliability issues with it but could be it just needs a break in period I also did not clean or lube it before trying it out it’s still a neat gun hopefully next trip out will be more successful thanks for watching !
And it’s MOS you cant beat that and it can run Glock mags it’s a win

I’m surprised it’s not California approved I think gen 3 Glocks are and this is a gen 3 Glock clone maybe Rock island armory didn’t want to jump through the hoops of submitting it for the California roster I guess sounds like you have good options there at least

@SovietCombatSloth california roster doesn't make any sense. I can buy a p365 that holds 10 rounds, but I can't buy a glock 43 that holds 6 rounds.
@@rafaelmadrigal9279 I’m so glad I live in a free state i think California would be a great state if the politicians didn’t ruin it it seems so culturally diverse with the food options and the weather looks great but it’s so expensive and full of terrible laws…..the whole country’s getting that way though I suppose

I got mine from rural kings website but I think buds gun shop has them on their website as well
