we are reviewing a CRAFTSMAN 3/8’ Drive (9.5mm) 6 Piece Impact Hand Tool Set that will cost you an average of $10 plus tax. This is model #CMT14104 . This Impact hand tool is a specialty item, its not something you will use all of the time but whenever you need this tool, you will want to have it handy because it could make your repairs a lot easier and cheaper then expensive specialty wrenches, sockets, drilling, tap & die set and impact guns
Signed to deliver 200 ft. Lbs. of torque
This Hand impact tool helps you easily Olsen frozen, rusted, screws , nuts, bolts or even tighten fasteners without stripping them
This set comes with 4 bits that are a Phillips 1 2, 3 and a Flat/Slotted 8 & 10 hex bits
The Impact tool has a 3/8” drive underneath the 3/8 to 8mm hex adapter so that you can easily use the 3/8” drive with sockets for fasteners or use the 8mm Hex bits for screws . Once you determine that you need to use this tool, you get the Impact ready, place it onto the screw or fastener set your direction to loosen or tighten, grip the body and then stroke the top with a hammer . At this point the spring shock inside of this Impact will lightly turn left or right with the force of the impact from the hammer, which provides more torque than you can acquire with turning by hand
The Impact tool has the Craftsman name and model number laser ethched into the body and on the lower half of the body it has an (L)and (R) with an arrow , stamped not the body for (left or Right aka Lefty looney, righty tightly) so its. Easy to set.you push it in and turn to adjust the direction. The 3/8” adapter has Chrome Vanadium , 3/8’ and 8mm stamped into it to let you know that its the adapter .
This product is Made In Taiwan fromChrome Vanadium steel and it does have a LIMITED Lifetime Warranty, instead of the full warranty. That means you must keep your receipt if you want to warranty this product or attempt to warranty this product by going to Sears , going to www.craftsman.com/warranty or calling them direct at 1-888-331-4569
This tool does help loosen fasteners when you cant seem to do it by hand and its designed to take an Impact and deliver some torque .
It’s designed to convert the force of the hammer blow into 200 foot pounds of torque .

I paid $21 for mine
it cost me 20 at Loews
Great vid.
Never needed one: Just bought it last night it is a craftsman CMMT14104 like yours, a paper and plastic container that says "Full Lifetime" Warranty, made in Tawain. a Stanly, Black & decker product. as per website, full lifetime warranty, so I guess they changed it, as well the pricing i paid $20.00. on Amazon and in local hardware stores. this will get my Rotor phillips out wit ha bang, but reading the reviews of the cheaper, I chose to go Craftsman, thank you for the talk and review, great job demonstrating the purpose
I pick up one at Lowe’s for 25 bucks. Thank you for the review
$10 dang lol Ran me $24.07 today after taxes 😅
Same lol
This is an awesome tool that fixed a screw problem in 2 hits. I worked on a stuck screw all Saturday afternoon. BUY THIS Product!
awesome thanks
Thanks
Thanks guy for such a very very distinct and clear explanation I bought it several months ago for one screw problem and now needed to use
it again and this 75 yr old forgot what l and right stood for-- lefty loosey and righty tighty !! Thanks again
$19.99
Probably a good idea to use an impact socket if you’re using the 3/8 drive feature.
$20 now but a great tool
$10?! It's $20 online. Nice review though.
As also limited is now full warranty, things changed
Lowe’s sellin it for $20
Damnit i just paid 20 bucks for this....im always late to the deals
Me too. In Ny
Thx for explaining in detail and clearly!
Got one but everytime I hit it the setting switch back and forth from L to R trash product
I have one I bought back in the 70's I still use. You work on motorcycles these are a must have. I was looking to get a newer one. One thing I noticed here. When you changed directions, it has a very weak spring. Hitting it harder wont put any more torque onto the screw, it will just bottom out and break something inside the tool. I have taken mine apart to grease it. It has a really thick, heavy duty spring, really hard to change direction, and to hit harder to put more torque on the screw head. Thanks for the review. I decided to pass on this.
Thanks. This was really helpful for me.
Very cool and useful tool,,,,,Nice Vid, Keep up the Good work!!!
Mine was 20 bucks in store
Klein is almost 60 and it actually goes down 1/4 drive so you can use regular bits
@@justinjones3499 that’s nothing. The snap on set I have was over $300. Bought this as my travel calls one. Works just as good as the snap on. Just the bits aren’t as strong and do break
I need that for those evil rotor screws
That's what I bought mine for tonite. Our Honda needs calipers, a rotor and brakes. Did it work for you on rotors?
$20 at lowes now
Cuantones el mínimo de torque
For rotor screws 👌
