Good video as always Adam. I fitted these myself on my RS a month or so ago it's a little fiddly cause the space is tight for your hand best to remove the little clip first makes twisting the locking nut much easier. I'm really impressed these bulbs are much brighter than the HID's I had before the beam throw is good and very white. Great little mod..
Does fitting these bulbs impact MOTs, particularly section 4.1.4 of the current guidebook? Really want these but don’t want MOT failures just for fitting some LEDs to my RS
Has anyone gone from Osram Night breaker Lazer Xenon to these? I know the Nightbreaker Lazer are quite brighter than the stock Osram, but how do they compare to these LEDs, beam pattern and brightness. I currently have Night breaker Lazers and are happy with their light output, but I would like to have a whiter light with just as much or more light output. I don't want to sacrifice brightness for a whiter bulb, especially at the cost they come at.
Are these actually bright and white Near the end when driving they still look yellowish Have other bulbs atm supposed to be 6000k but definitely aren’t in my opinion
Hey man, I'm about to install these to my Golf R and I'm assuming the lights will over heat as it'll be inclosed. How's it going 7 months after install? Thanks dude
I have the bi xenons in my 2017 Tit X, headlight is okay but when I'm in the pitch black my full beam ain't any brighter. Any clues what that is? Maybe new bulbs required 🤔
Do you also have experience with the Autobeam Extreme Xenons? I'm still deciding between these LED's and the Xenons but can't seem to find a true brightness comparison
@@AdamRainey I've looked at vland too, they seem a pain, I definitely need an upgrade from the osram I have...are the led's that good for the huge price ?
Always a bit concerned about changing the "default" headlight bulb. Just seems to encourage the "who's got the brightest bulb" competition. Good and useful vid if thats your thing tho.
@@jamesmorton1977 Mine are 7 years old and the right just lost it's brightness. The colour is fine compared to normal halogens but my only gripe is that I wished they illuminated further.
Hi Adam - have you fitted Autobeam FULL BEAM headlight bulbs to the Focus? Like you, I've gone for AB's LED bulbs for my dipped beam lights, and love them. I have bought their full beam LEDs, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to fit them! (also a Focus, and with the same headlight unit as yours).
The dip beam an main beam is the same bulb on the xenon headlamps mate. Only other bulbs in the unit is the turning light that is an H1 an the indicator bulb.
Just done this upgrade as well mate, I had 6000k HID bulbs before but these LED's are so much brighter then the HIDs so glad I mad the change.

Are you in the us or uk?
I bought some autobeam lights after watching your video hopefully they are good bc had to pay $28 shipping to the us
Don't worry mate, they are properly good :)

If you've got projector lenses with bi-Xenons then they are a straight swap. Just not allowed them in normal reflector lenses
BTW tried mine last night they are awesome the difference is awesome

The performance looks similar to the autobeam HID's. Nice upgrade from the terrible factory bulbs
Yep, agreed - cheers James :)
@@AdamRainey Just had some led d3s performance bulbs for my bi-xenon focus they haven't come with convertors.
@@jamesmorton1977 yea, the latest version has the converters built in
@Adam Rainey thank god for that had a mini panic then!! Off to put them in now . Cheers for the quick reply Adam! Happy new year!!

Got These D3S from different manufacturer for my Audi A6 C6 but comes with just the socket for connecting but no wire like yours.???
Fitted these the other day, unbelievable improvement, you do need fingers like E.T to get the plastic lug twisted though 😉 this video is so helpful 👌

Wow Adam they look amazing not sure they would work in my focus st as I don't have xenon headlights
Hi Alan, Autobeam should do a version for your car...
@@AdamRainey I would like some better bulbs mine r not that good
What does it mean by dipped beam unit ? 😅
Dipped beam is just another term for the "headlight" as the light tends to be dipped slightly down as opposed to main beam or high beam
Dont suppose you have a discount code for autobeam?
did you keep them ? any thoughts vs osram CBB ?
Hi Adam..love your videos. Just a quick question about these LED lights. Are they legal and the car will pass an MOT with them fitted?
If you have projector headlamps on your car then they will pass the mot as the projector lamps give you sharp clean non dazzle beam pattern
Love your videos Adam - keep it up!
thanks!
Great video Adam but what a fanny around just to change a bulb
that's Ford's design department's fault Although I find that after doing it a few times, it gets easier and quicker and not too bad

@AdamRainey back in stock now with 25% off, purchase completed...ta very much for the video, hope my big fingers can fit them now 😀
Will it be easy to remove in case of issues ?
Ordered some today can't wait to fit them

It's no competition. The xenon bulbs deteriorate after about 6 years I'm led to believe. Mine are 10 years old and really poor in rain at night

What about heat difference? hid vs led? can they damage headlight or lens?
Don't think so pal they have a fan on the back
Hey thank you. I used your video to install these lightbulbs
Glad I could help, cheers :)
Are you going to be changing the turning bulbs at some point
at some point, yes!
