Truth is, there are so many variations of this kick in muay thai but we tend to believe in the West that there is only one correct way of doing this kick. I think to some extent it boils down to a fighter's morphology, preferences and fighting style. Apidej, Boonlai, Nokweed and Buakaw for example all have very different ways of throwing the same kick. Which one is better? Are some of them wrong? All legit variations, obviously.
Also: body type. Many people seem to overlook the fact that bodies are simply different. There are kick variants that I absolutely hate because they feel odd to me, put strain on joiunts etc whereas other variants I feel m body is tailor made for
Its like a question mark kick the linear. The round is stronger but its easier to block and it takes longer . The linear is faster , harder to see but less powerful
this video helped me understand it better after your v log it looks like a fast sorda straight pivot snap kick...great video diffently plan on watching more and really considering joining your patrion
I think I kinda kick like this a bit already because my shin seems to often loop overtop of my partner's knee- but I still connect entirely with their elbow pretty often, so I think I'm doing something wrong? How do you avoid this?
I’ve taught my self this kick by just practicing round house and wanted sum more rapid then the golden kick came in ,well now I can call it golden ☝️🔥✅💪🙏
in trying to learn it but i cant give it the same power, after i get to the height of the impact and turn it i cant use the hip to go through but if i use the hips at the start from the ground it becomes too slow
Some come our round, some come out straight. Some use flat feet, some use tippy toes. Some pivot the foot at 45 degrees, some at 90, some at 120. This one kick/technique drives me nuts, the camp that l train at has absolutely no leniency in the way they want this done. I respect there wishes, but man.

You come faster on the impact point with the quick hip rotation. You might be coming from closer but you hit the target with much more impact.
powerful enough ( to say the least ) and much more likely to be successful, faster with less telegraphing, and a harder to see angle
@@buggaboo2707 Yep, the golden kick has taken me to the next level
@@c.s1393 Watch Rose Namajunas's last fight.... it is, or at least is like, the golden kick.... and splits opponents guard to land it

Beautiful technicians
Simply beautiful this kick
Thank you. Great compilation and study.
Is the overall shape of the kick in the form of a 7? with the bottom line being straight of course
it's a thing of beauty.
Only can say: Impressive 🙏

@@angrypotato9383 practice !! And try to kick in straight line then pivot when you get to the height of impact
@@1100BFK so when i want to kick i should already pivot 90 degrees the standing foot and then come up straight under the elbow
@@angrypotato9383 exactly!!
But is shouldn’t be telegraphic your opponents must not see it coming so combination and then throw it .
