@@22448824 I partially disagree, he is good at technique but maybe he improve it with that style, I don't think is all brute force... look for example Mohamed Ehab, he shakes his head really hard and that isn't a good thing to do but he manage to make strong lifts
That's old soviet style technique, you can see many of those lifters with such style, for example Akkaev. It's good for lifters with very strong upper body and explosiveness, because you need a faster first pull for inertia, a very strong lower back to take the load, a strong upper back to keep the bar towards the body despite the shoulders being more in front. If you lack any of those the bar will drag you forward and you'll lose balance, resulting in a very ugly and weak second pull. It's pretty much the opposite of a chinese pull. Both can produce world records.
I would love to know his efficiency rating as a lifter -- his technical proficiency is amazing, but at the same time, he popped out of the hole so fast like the squat was no big deal. Yeah, stretch reflex helps, but he looked to have plenty of strength in reserve.
Which is the frame rate original to make this slow motion? With premiere you can slow without lagging video but for slowly like that without issues I presume is not Less of 480fps?
Any idea on the knee wraps? Are they similar to the ones powerlifters use? As someone who squats in wraps they seem like they would be really hard to do any classic lift. Especially when wrapped properly tight.
@@nathanly2878 I am fluent in both weightlifting and powerlifting. I see them hindering more than help. Even training wraps are tough to move in without the required weight. Now I can see them adding a bunch of spring out of the bottom for someone moving heavy weight.

Can't decide what's more impressive...the lift or the video quality 🤯
The answer is yes.
We were all so fucking proud. Thank you for this ATG
That is very powerful lift.
Video quality is also excellent!
Mamma mia Antoní! Sei sempre e troppo il migliore. Ti auguro mille anni di alzate spettacolari come questa. Onore al Campione!
I'm surprised how much gap there is when the bar is passing through his knees and still manage to do an excellent job on the rest of the pull
Especially compared to Karlos Nasar!
Yeah. I noticed that as well. It’s certainly not technique that enables PILLSALOTO to lift these weights.

"I'm the king. Go back to home all of you"
Classy!
Double leg drive...ive never seen anything like it. He was able to extend his quads in both the first and second pull.
Complimenti Nino. Grande prestazione. 💪👏👑💟

if i wouldn't be into lifting i would think that throwing 217kg like this is impossible

He's got like a 250 kg front squat
In preparation for this he front squatted 260kg for a DOUBLE.

Yes they are the same
@@KritmayPachaury interesting. I use SBD 2m training wraps and when I really tighten them up mobility is definitely lower than in sleeves.
@@bmstylee yeah I was surprised too. They're under utilized in WL, and seem a double edge sword.
