He talks about the hope of IFS for the emerging times.
He describes his final book wherein he talks about IFS, medicine work and the process of journeying with cancer and approaching one's own transition.
He celebrates the magic and the mystery of the Self-field whereby, when we embrace it, we are able to send perhaps the most important message a client, a human being will ever receive: "I fully trust you."
He reflects on legacy, purpose and meaning at the end of his life here.

Thank you, your video has helped a small therapist from 3rd world country to grow and heal not only oneself but others.
Farewell. I’ll keep you and the lessons I’ve learned from you close to my heart.
What a beautiful man! He is full of grace and kindness, what a joy listening to him. I just discovered him this morning. What a loss to the world and I hope his legacy will teach more people.
There could be no more eloquent statement about the power of IFS than Derek’s grace and courage as he faces death, and his continued deep caring about the world. I look forward to reading his book. I was in shock when I opened this. I didn’t realize he passed. I always turned to his videos for guidance. He was one of my favorites. So much talent. What a sweet man and so so loving and brave. He truly will be missed by so many people and communities. ♥️
