My Wife Sent Me To A Silent Retreat

My wife suggested a silent retreat after I rambled on for hours trying to solve a problem. She looked me in the eye and said, "I have an idea, why don't you go to a silent retreat, please." Maybe she's right. Maybe this is exactly what I need.

I love the window and door metaphors. I'm in a similar place. Resigned back in 2020 and had to heal these last years. I had started a reselling biz prior to leaving just to hwlp me segway ...I've played around with my main goals for a while putting them on the backburner while getting stability, and finally realized that I have time to do what I want and I can build stability while securing my confidence pursuing my own endeavors. Continuously chasing "security" is a trap because we are meant to be in changing environments and not doing the same thing day in and day out

Thank you soo much for sharing this with me. I know how much courage it takes to put yourself out there. There are a lot of dangers with travelling the unknown path. But I’ve found that it’s also the only path to finding meaning and excitement in life. Everyone takes the highway because it’s faster and the road is clear, but that’s boring!

@cutteruprob I thought about it but all the wood around me was soaked. I had no clue how to light it. I defo need better shoes as I have the bruises to show
