If you had hand built a perfect replica and had it verified by Mercedes to be an exact part-for-part copy, it would be worth quite a lot of money. Although, if you had a good replica, I don't think you would ever consider selling it.

The $11,770,000 includes the buyer and seller's fees, which vary by auction company. That's how auction companies earn their income!
