Honestly, I had the same thought when I started putting it together lol. But I absolutely loved playing the melody, so I tried to make it work in a more orchestral setting. So glad you like it!
if you said. you were some inter-dimensional being that came to earth specifically for sick as fuck cello remixes i would believe you???? because this skill is inhumanly good i think.
I was looking for a fully orchestral, intense remix of Penny's theme after listening to the Metal remixes (intense classical music sounds a lot like Metal) and found this. Not what I was expecting (much softer 😂)
@@Sacred_Korok69 Huh, that actually makes sense. She is the person that basically snuffed out bullying for dozens of kids and quite possibly the entire school. Created an organisation for outcasts to join together and took all the heat for it when things didn't pan out.
@@bornanime3255She's the tragic "villain" we realize was really the hero all along. It's a shame we never really get to get revenge on Harrington and his staff.
When I heard her theme, I always thought it would sound way better with some wind instruments, safe to say that your cover of Penny’s battle theme is amazing to listen to ^^
Yes, that's something I was definitely going for! I really wanted to bring out different parts of Penny's character since she's my absolute favorite from the new games ❤️
Hi! I'm also glad you found my channel :) I haven't done any original video-game-style music, but I do have some cello compositions over on my main channel @ContraformaCello 🎶
Hey, this remix is really awesome! Very unique! As a VGM remixer myself, it's refreshing to hear arrangements that put a new style on the original theme. The lead cello is performed beautifully! Awesome legato and pitch slides! My only critique is that the lead cello sounds quite loud compared to the supporting instruments. I had the volume turned up as the track was opening and that intro was so hype with the arps that I was expecting a climatic drop, and it did not disappoint, but MAN that lead cello came blasting through my earphones so I had to turn down the volume in order to listen comfortably. But unfortunately if I turn down the volume, I can no longer hear the backing instruments as well (which are arranged very well btw and I would love to be able to appreciate them better). Other than that, this remix is spectacular and I subscribed to your channel! Keep up the great work! 👍😃
Wow, thank you so much! This is such a lovely comment. I really appreciate the support and the careful listening to my track! I do all the audio work myself (without formal training lol 😬) so feedback on that is especially helpful as I try to keep improving my skills. And thanks for the sub!! ❤️
@@pokecello No problem! I mix and master all my songs as well, so I know that this aspect of music production can be challenging at times. The best advice I could give you is to listen to your work on several different speaker systems that you're familiar with-for example, studio headphones and studio monitor speakers will give you the most accurate representation of your audio, but also make it a habit to save your song as an MP3 and play it on some cheap computer or phone speakers, as well as consumer earphones. This will help you get a better idea of how your music sounds on different platforms and can help you detect problems in the mix that you might not have noticed before. Also, it helps a lot to listen to other music in the same genre that you produce and use them as references, and compare them with your own work to see if there's anything that stands out that can be improved or fixed. 👍
omg I remember the first time I listened to a recording of myself on phone speakers!! truly a humbling experience lmao 😭 I was relieved to learn that happens to everyone and there's things I can do to improve the quality on a broad range of speakers. Still learning but slowly improving :)
@@pokecello Yeah, since most people aren't going to be listening on expensive studio equipment, the multi speaker test, as I call it, is an important part of the production process. BTW, I want to ask you something, I was listening carefully to your arrangement, and it's super accurate to the original song. Actually, it's the most accurate that I've heard out of all of them! Do you have the MIDI file available for download? I would love to have it since all the other Penny theme MIDIs I've seen are not very accurate and have lots of errors.
Oh thank you so much! I also didn't find a lot of detailed arrangements so a lot of the transcription is original. I don't have the file available at the moment, but only because I'm not super organized with my files lol. If you shoot me an email I can put something together in a few days for you!

At first, I wasn’t sure if a cello would fit Penny’s theme well and it’d sound weird. But dang was I mistaken. This sounds great!

it sounds like theme straight out of an Ys game and it’s absolutely amazing!!
Thank you so much!! I had a lot of fun making this one :)
Getting serious Penny x Zinnia vibes here. I'm digging it.
Yes I totally hear that! These battle themes are so fun to play (I'm also working on a Zinnia Theme cover right now lol so stay tuned for that) 🎶
Penny x Zinnia in the US is a interesting ship until its Penny x Zinnia in Japan
This is giving me final fantasy emotional boss battle vibes, is just too cool
Yes totally!! Thank you :)
I used this theme for my Pokemon SV packs opening today. Thank you for the stellar theme. I love it!
That's awesome!! Thank you so much, I hope Penny got you some good pulls!
Though I won’t go as far as saying “better,” it’s definitely one of the best and unique Penny covers I heard and love to replay as background music ❤
Thank you so much, I appreciate it! 🫶

When it hits, eargasm
Thanks so much, the drops in the original theme are unreal lol
Sheet music please? I've been playing cell for 6 years now and I feel like doing a solo for my spring concert
Of course! Just send me an email, and I'll send the part your way :)
How did that go?

Love the cello :) Keep it up!
Thank you so much, I'll do my best!!
When the violin hits it's like you're facing a great hero of legends. It's so rad.
Thank you so much, that's exactly what I was going for!
She actually is tho. She is the hero we dont deserve

Damn, the beginning part was haunting, reminded me of some kind of horror music, interesting to say the least. The rest of the song feels more upbeat

Dude this gave me some straight Xenoblade Chronicles 2 vibes. Theres one song in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 that this reminds me of.
I looked back and this reminded me of drifting soul from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Amazing work man!
