I had my dash cam seized once by the police after having a seizure in my car. They didn't believe I had one and were going to try to use it against me but it was filming the inside of the car as well which a hidden one is going to be harder to do. Point being you should try to hide your dash cam so it has a lesser chance of being used against you, yet still looking out for you! I was lucky mine was helpful as others not so much! This looks nice.
Does this camera automatically start recording the moment you turn on the truck? Or do I need to go into the app and hit record? If it does automatically start recording, will the videos for that day be saved to the app's storage? Do I need to connect to the camera's wifi for the videos to be saved or will they automatically be saved and connecting to the camera's wifi will give me a live view and access to the videos recorded? Sorry for the multiple questions but just want to be sure if it's worth purchasing this one

I wouldn't trust it. Toyota has warned against piggybacking off the power connector for the collision avoidance system. I think using the power connector for the auto dimming mirror, which he was already doing with the other camera, is a much safer option.
@@wewd I ended up getting the fitcamx and have driven over 4k miles since then with no problems. One time it alerted me to brake but didn't need to actually activate so I assume its still operational. If it continues to great so I would be considered happy consumer just due to the cleanliness of the installed product, looks OEM.

The install was not pleasant. Tight spaces and fat fingers.
