Jennifer you never cease to amaze me. I watch every video you make and your still teaching me stuff I didn't know. I didn't realize that you could use the Misti without the foam to use wood stamps!!! AND I didn't think about how easy it is to tie a bow using the magnet in the Misti to hold it still. I have the worst time tying bows and now that I have that little method under my hat, I won't have trouble any more. I think the leaves are beautiful!!! And the fact that you made all of them for the teacher, was so kind of you!!!! Blessings!
Well, I would never of thought about using the magnets on the Misti to hold something down while tying a bow on it. WOW! Beautiful designs for Thanksgiving!
I've watched MANY of your videos, Jennifer, but I have to say that this is my favorite one! SO beautiful and I'm amazed at how easy you made making 40 place settings seem! How kind of you to do that! I work with teachers every day, so I know how busy they are. LOVE the die off-setting! And, the products you used - I am in love. I want all of the stamp sets and LOVE that leaf die! I'm going to have to pick up some of that wood veneer paper too! Incredible video! Thank you!!
What a great technique. These are beautiful. Love that it uses up scraps too. This is definitely an act of kindness. I'm sure this teacher really appreciated what you've done. It's simple when you're doing one or two. But, when you do 40, that's time consuming. So very nice of you.
I agree with you that INKING makes a huge difference and there are only the very VERY rare project that I don't ink the edges-even if I think there is no way I will ink that many, I always end up doing it. The magnet trick is awesome. Gorgeous place setting tags. I know she was thrilled with them.
OMG Jennifer Your Place Cards are Gorgeous!! It was definitely fun to watch you create them. Your off setting die cutting idea is fabulous.....thanks for your tutorial for ding this I can't wait to give this a try. Your leaves turned out so pretty and I did love the look after you inked the edges......I love those distress inks they definitely are fun to work with. Your son's teacher is going to love them and her guests are going to be wowed and they will have a very special gift to take home. Thanks so much for all of your awesome Tips, Tricks & Techniques!! YOU so ROCK!! Joan Smith
Great video. You have such a calm, clear and restful voice and move through all the steps so smoothly. Thanks for the tip on double duty with the die cuts, it will make me look at my existing dies a bit differently. Thanks so much!
Great idea Jennifer and I love that you constantly "think out of the box" to get as many uses as possible from our craft products. I also love the tip about using the MISTI for tying bows - I'm horrible at tying bows LOL! TFS
You are so amazing to help a teacher and the way you show appreciation to teachers. Most people don't understand how hard they work. I quit after 20 years because I couldn't take it anymore.
Thank you for this idea. I see Christmas Ornament Place cards and Birthday Balloon Place cards and Umbrella Place cards for showers, Baby Buggies or the Onsies for baby showers, Bell or Hearts for wedding events. You give us so much inspiration, thank you Oh I forgot Halloween Pumpkins, see it never ends.
Hi Jennifer ~ This is BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT!!!!! Off-setting the dies is SO very clever!! BUT using the magnets from the MISTI to hold the leaves in place while tying the bows? Simply GENIUS!!!! (Any teacher who has one of your children in his/her class is one lucky person!!) Because of an accident I had a few years ago, I have trouble tying bows when my fingers go numb and the MISTI idea is going to be a game-changer for me!! As always, thanks for sharing so many tips and tricks. Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family! #sharehandmadekindness
This video made me want to host Thanksgiving at my house this year! Instead, I will offer to make the place cards for my daughter, who will be hostessing our family Thanksgiving this year. I love making holiday decorations but often do not leave myself enough time to complete them prior to the holiday. Thanks for the timely video!
Jennifer--these are so beautiful and will make the Thanksgiving place settings so elegant! Thank you very much for the great information and inspiration! (Peg)
I've watched this video twice now, a few weeks apart. I have absolutely loved it each time and I've picked up more tips each time!! You are so gifted Jennifer! I enjoy all of your videos I've watched so far - Thank you for inspiring all of us crafters:)
Double Die Cutting, what a excellent idea, plus to learn that this is possible with some other dies makes it amazing ! These place setting are beautiful ! Thank you for sharing xo
Super cute! I save the negative image to use a place holder for odd shapes like these leaves. Just place each leaf in the negative space and stamp. This allows you to keep the square negative piece always line dup in the corner. I love you videos and your new website ;-)
+Jennifer McGuire Ink ....this is a brilliant video!! I love these place-settings that you mass produced! They're gorgeous!! And you've given me a great idea for the Christmas dinner table this year!! Thanks for sharing!! I ALWAYS love your videos!! ☺ (PS...I love what you've shared about double-die-cutting as well!)
LOVE these place settings and would look great added to a card base. Great way to use the Misti to assist in tying the ribbon, too. As always thanks for sharing the terrific idea and making the video to show us how to do it, too. :)

So very cool - and sure gives me lots of ideas to use what I have. The Misti idea to tie is soooo clever. Never would have thought of that on my own :)
Beautiful!❤ The gold does add a lot! I have a lot of clear stamps and have always used a clear block. I need to get a Misti! Going to have a big Thanksgiving crowd for supper, definitely going to give this a try! Thanks for sharing!❤❤
Oh my... they are so beautiful Jennifer! As I have a "thing" about leaves, I looooove these! Will have to see if I can get that die cut. I think I would use one of the negative parts and put int the corner of the Misti to put each leaf into, instead of drawing outside one, like you did. Not sure if that would work... TFS xxx
