I like be that she's been slowly rolling out new products instead of trying to do 5 or 6 products at once. That gives her the time to make sure each formula is to her standards before it the market

I don’t think it’s expensive because of how big the bottle is. Most companies give us like 8-10 ounces. So glad you reviewed it.

Miche, Oyin, Curl junkie, Camille Rose all are brands that either are comparable in costs or more expensive then Melanin HC. Whitney stands out because she provides more bang for your buck with quality, concentrated ingredients.

My experience was exactly yours, hair clean clean but still managed to be defined and hydrated. I made sure I did my video first before watching any reviews so I was not unconsciously swayed and it's crazy that many people are having the same experience. Whit did that 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

The charcoal is probably why your hair was squeaky clean. I put alot of activated charcoal in my Trader Joe's tea tree shampoo and it stripped my hair, I put way too much 🤦🏾♀️. So it could be the small amount of charcoal that takes out impurities without stripping hair.
I use activated charcoal soap ,cut pieces of it ,put it in a bottle, add water ,add peppermint and lavender ,mix em up till soap melts ,that's my cleansing shampoo..and yup it works wonders, 💖👍
Hmmm, I have Trader Joe’s shampoo and conditioner, and the shampoo is already more of a clarifying shampoo 😟
For the longest I have been wanting to get these products but every time I visit the website 1 or more of the products I want is sold out. But I’ll keep checking back. Thanks for this review.
You can also try ulta as well. I think it's out of stock there but they should be stocking back up at the end of the month

I don’t like mint fragrances that’s why I had to give away the leave-in even though it left my hair feeling so moisturized. The fragrance was too strong for me. I love the twist elongating creme and the oil.
Ossie R Did you try adding another essential oil to the leavein to mask the mint scent?
The reason your hair doesn’t feel stripped is because of all the oils she adds into the shampoo, because there are loads of sulfate free shampoo that will strip your hair just as badly as a sulfate shampoo

I haven't tried the shampoo, but I do have the Alikay Black Soap Shampoo. I'll try this too; the consistency looks interesting. Love the applicator.
I like the oil a lot. The cream is solid (for me), and I do find the leave in helps me with simple detangling, but I think the As I Am detangler works more for me on bad days. I have Type 4 hair, questionable porosity. Different areas seem to do different things? My hair doesn't care about my feelings lol.
I don't mind the price since it's usually a solid amount and she's a small business. She's got her foot in Ulta now, but still a small business and ethical shipping is tough at that stage. I really appreciate the amount of time she, the formulators, marketing, and her tester team put in.

20 is not alot for that size bottle.
It reminds me of the JBCO line from Shea Moisture which is $10-$12 for 16.3 ounces.
