Wow you made it look so easy when I took the asvab at meps I had no idea how to do these but in back of my mind I knew there was a simple to trick to solve these but now I know thank you for explaining.

Correct me if I’m wrong but the trapezoid is not the parallelogram shown in the example so would the answer be C instead of A?

Yes, but also, do see how the trapezoid outsizes the chevron in figure c. when it’s supposed to be nearly the same size?
