For most of human history, women marry to survive. Women didn’t have rights and needed marriage. Widows without sons that can support them were in big trouble. In the Bible, brothers were to marry their older dead older brothers widow. Often men were forced into marriage because their father made a deal or alliance with another people group or village. Parents had the burden to marry off their daughters to the best suitable man. Female mate selection was not the norm. Ancient men had so much responsibility, modern men couldn’t handle it. There was no 911 back then, husbands had to be the police. There was no welfare, men had to provide for their family with their lives literally at stake, their ability to earn a living will determine if women live well off or starve. There was no public schools, men had to make sure their kids are raised right, ready for the brutality of real life and train their kids with skills they need to survive. There was no grocery stores, men had to farm and depend on their skills. The average man was so extraordinary compared to how useless men have become today. The government and industrialization and feminism replaced men and made average men useless.
Now women marry because they want to not have to. They can sustain themselves now. And they only want to marry a few select men. It’s no longer enough to be average, women don’t need average; they want top tier rare men. Marriage used to be about survival but now marriage is about increasing status. Chads and stacys will make anyone they are dating increase in value. Diamonds are not useful but because they are in high demand, expensive and exclusive (rarity) anyone who wears them also increase in value, gain attention, and prestige. Women’s value is validated, solidify, confirmed when they are able to lock the guy every woman wants but only she has. The men that will reproduce in the modern world will only be those kind of rare gem men. Even ugly man, if he can gain high status somehow (let’s say be sang in a world famous band, got million UA-cam subscribers, was in international news for heroics, became a superstar athlete, wrote best seller books, became millionaire surgeon, dated famous Hollywood actress,etc...) even the women that friendzoned him will start seeing him attractive when they noticed all the other women after him. You see it’s not even about love or family building, it’s about female self interest to raise their own status in a materialistic, attention seeking, shallow world.
Women aren't as independent as they're letting on. They still make less than men, not bc of patriarchy, but bc they choose lower paying jobs and the taxes, that government provides are mostly paid by men as well. It is true, that a woman, if she's atleast middle class can make a living for herself, but seldomly without financial support from parents and sometimes welfare. As soon as she gets a bf, she depends on him, bc he usually makes more money.
@@Michael_the_Drunkard reason why marrying an average man is so repulsive to modern women is that her low value and status is confirmed if she ends up with mediocrity. It's better for her own self esteem to remain single than get with soy boy, beta, neckbeard, nice guy, simp, friend zoned, desperate, incel, short, broke, loser. It means that's all she can get. At least being single she can get positive affirmation from society and keep swiping hope for Chad to come.
Don’t mean to ruin one’s hope, but it doesn’t get better in your 30s and 40s if you’re a sub5. Actually it gets worse.

I swear that now it's impossible to cope anymore. In front of me have passed a couple in their 30s, a couple that is the worst case I've seen until now. She is the typical woman who is between normie at best and sub5, but I would rather classify her as a female beta version. She has that kind of face that you could predict she is a decent and peaceful woman. And, oh guys... What a husband! He is surely from some Ikea department. Such a massive guy with the iconic Chad face. Of course, with a baby... This is a nightmare for sure, when you see that your looksmatch is with Chad, not with you.

1. It's not entirely true that before men and women's options were limited to their social circles, as cold approach still existed.
2. People who participate in hook-up culture are mostly *Under 30*, not in their 20s, like I said. That's because there are many women and even some guys below 20 who hook up on a regular basis.

I don't understand the hook up culture. 22 years old and the first time i held a guy's hand was 3 months ago. It took a lot from me to do that. I guess those girls just get used to it and more confident. It's not good though

How many percentage of guys you think are true chad and would have the same privilege that women have in dating market ?
For 18-22 year old college students (this is where I have most experience): 5% true Chad like you said and 10-20% Chad(lite), if you factor in height. Although it's likely Chads are just more likely to go outside, while average and ugly guys spend more time inside. Chads also have a Halo effect where they stand out to others in general, even other men.
