I have a hoya but I don’t know it’s name. The formation of it’s flower are the same as yours and the color of the flowers are baby pink. I did not purchase mine and it has no tag when it was given to me. It never failed to give me flowers for the past 3 years and to think that it’s not even as long as yours. And when it gives me flowers, it gives me about 5 to 8 clusters. I have my hoya on a hanging pot and I hang it under a tree 365 days in a year. I live in zone 9b in west coast. Oh and btw, I water it almost everyday just like the rest of my orchids and outside plants.
I have a Hoya purchased as pubicalyx ‘Royal Hawaiian Purple’. The leaves are on the narrow side and splashy, the new leaves come in a lovely burgundy. I’ve had it 2 1/2 years and it just bloomed with flowers very similar to your darker flowered pubicarolla. The carolla is a very dark purplish gray and the coronas very deep red. The blooms are absolutely beautiful. Thank you for your videos! I’m on them as soon as I get the notification
Thanks Miro for this interesting video. I have the garden variety publicalyx. Its probably 3+ years old. I never knew anything about it till now. Of course it hasnt bloomed but it is a rapid grower. Its just in the house at a south facing window. Your information was much appreciated. Those plants of yours have the most beautiful blooms.
I have the pink, white, and black dragon. I think the white dragon might be called a Hoya cellata (?). I’ve been growing all of them in ambient conditions and the pink and white ones bloom/grow without any issues at all. I haven’t bloomed the black one yet but yours is giving me hope!😍
Hola Miro my pubicorolla grows a lot on the balcony, with sun from 12:00 to 16:00 and is full of flowers from May to October. I live in Barcelona city. (SyBotanica hoya Mix Soil))
You guys seem to have getting your hoyas to bloom down to an art form. 😅 Or you have several hundred to choose from. How many do you actually have blooming at the moment? Right now I would settle for one. 😊
I grow my pubicalyx in ambient conditions close to a Mars hydro grow light. It was slow to bloom but is budding right now on two or three peduncles. I'll post pictures on discord.
I have a black dragon, a pink dragon and a Celata fka white dragon. I also have a red dragon but I don’t think that’s a thing is it? Looks nothing like my pubicorolla plants. Nary a bloom on any of these plants yet but looking forward to it one day. Now I need the 1-011 and the pink silver ghost is a beauty too. Thanks for the great info!
That is a market name that George Mendoza used for pubicorolla subsp.pubicorolla which = pubicalyx as it has always been known. (Granted I’m a bit of a purist and to me these are all pubicalyx with variation 😉.. )
Miro QUESTIONS: I currently have Pubicalyx pink silver splash and Pubicalyx Royal Hawaiian Purple splash. So are they not really Pubicalyx? Their leaves are 6-8 inches long and they bloom true to what I see online! I have an Obovata inner variegated with 30 active peduncles atm and a Mathilde with 35. And I have 15 Hoyas all blooming right now. I am in Hoya Heaven. Texas USA and they are all outdoors in sunshine. Love your blooms!!! ❤❤❤
Keep the name pubicalyx for now until further changes are made via official publications. :) But essentially, most are seedlings and crosses. I am so happy your Hoyas are blooming so profusely now
came for the blooms, stayed for the educational content 🤓 thank you Miro for this gold mine of information
Wait... stayed for me nooo? 😂
@@BasiePlants i guess you make funny jokes sometimes 🤪
Thank you so much!!!
Look at those stunning Hoyas. I think those with the pure green leaves are particularly interesting.
Thank you for the video. Such large and adorable flowers!
They are amazing!

Love this series! I can't wait until you upload the one about phuwuaensis. My favorite hoya at the moment.
It is coming! I recorded it a while back but just took some good flower pics last night :)
How pretty! Now if any of mine would like to have me “ohhhhh and ahhhhh” over it they just need to bloom 😂
Love those purple blooms!

Those are impressively beautiful plants!! Are Hoya pubicorolla and Hoya celata (formerly white dragon) then related at all?
I lost it at kissing hoyas 🤣🤣🤣
If only I could find a 1-011 (or a cutting g or dome seeds!!) Nobody seems to want to part with them lol

Hi Miro please cosider doing a vid about Hoya boutii, please
Hey there! Do you know of a list of all of Mike Bernardo cultivars? I'm trying to get all of them. I'm about half there.
Stemma Journal has just come out with a new issue and all his cultivars are listed there (that are published or pending)
Wait, is pubicalyx "Black Dragon" real or is it a pubicorolla?
🚰🪣💧🌧️ (Id gladly help water your plants, but its too far away 😅)
