Yea I'm hearing from all the UA-camrs that there is no Air conditioning at the national. What a disgrace.
Said there was 150,000 people that went. $159 a ticket. Over $23,000,000 in revenue from people just walking in the door and not including all the parking, concessions and VIP. No air conditioning.

That 10% tax is a money grab indont believe any state salesntax is 10% so I'd assume henis pocketing the rest .
Looks cool but all the prices seem higher than getting them off ebay. This convention (like many others) looks like it is just over priced resellers trying to make money and charging more than ebay prices. I remember when conventions used to have better than online prices and that was part of the reason you went to them, to get good deals...now not so much it seems. Glad you're having a fun time though!

If you followed Jeff Wilson's sport card investment advice you would be needing a PPP loan because you would be flat broke.
Yeah, his content/advice is awful and the stuff SCR has been putting out about his abuse of PPP loans and everything he was doing during the pandemic makes him seem like a really horrible person. I hope he goes away from the hobby, and stays gone.

His SCI business is entirely separate from his agency that’s he’s ran for years. Stop listening to idiots who don’t know how things work and are pissing you off for clicks. I learned long ago as a dealer...you TAKE payment ANY WAY POSSIBLE - Paypal, Visa, Discover, Diners Club, Square, American Excess, Apple, etc........and CASH. But I always warn folks - you pay me with card..you HAVE to pay tax....and there is NOTHING I can OR will do about that. Bottom line - People are more often willing to spend LARGER sums IF you take credit cards....in fact, their piles USUALLY grow higher because I take card......buy hey...whatever. Hell - I take cards when I do a damn flea market...

Seeing those BIG stacks of the JR Upper Deck rookie just further points to the rumor that they literally had print runs of just that card on the entire sheet being true.

The 4 ppl I know who were there ALL said the prices were inflated and way off the comps. Not sure what’s going on but I sure af wouldn’t cave to these dudes.
All of those signed Pete Rose RC cards are reprints. That’s why they all look the exact same and it’s only PSA/DNA authentication on the autograph.

I'll be honest, everything I've seen from the national looks kinda terrible. Filled with people. Over priced cards. Hot (so you said), and no one looking for a deal. And you gotta pay to get in!
