I have 2 of those. I got them on clearance at walmart, for half price. ($15 each) They work great, and are just as this video described. They will keep cold for days. And as this video described, do not expect ice alone to melt within several hours to a day. The best thing to do is to fill it completely with ice, and then add water to that until it is almost full of water and ice. Doing that, the water can stay cold for upwards of a week, depending on how much you drink and how hot it is outside.
My Son, has one of those and I had wondered how well they work. Good to hear some products still live up to their quality.. I like OT products, but they are hit and miss..this one looks like a hit! Prayers to you and Your Family Brother!
Florida Boy here...appreciate the review. I saw this at my trip to Walmart tonight Gallon was $29.74 & Half Gallon $18.74. Previously bought all my tumblers from RTIC cause half the price of Yeti but this is even better. Glad its reliable I’ll pick one up after your review
Let me expose this company and this jug in a few words. This is the best stainless jug I’ve ever owned. I just purchased four more this evening. Buy it!!
I bought the Yeti from REI and I just discovered this one at Walmart. I could have bought 4 of the Ozarks for the same price. What I like about my Yeti, besides the long ice retention, is that it's big enough to fit 4 12 oz cans.
Ernest P. Worrell...the water jug man!! I'm kidding, I carry one of these for work, and have for a few years now. After about two years the plastic lever on top gave out on the first one that I bought from all the opening and closing, but I saved a little money by buying a two pack after that from the Walmart website. Keeps my water cold for days!!!
funny i had the same problem you had. lost power and had no water, only ice. the double wall insulation made it impossible to fill it with ice and place it next to the heater to melt it down faster too, lol. i was drinking lil sips every 20-30 minutes lmao
Better to buy something like this sooner rather than later. It'll provide a lifetime of service except that decades from now it will be a whole lot more money, and who knows, possibly less quality. I looked up this review because earlier today I purchased the half gallon version for work. After seeing you wet a towel with it I realize it serves more of a purpose than simply hydration, which means it's better to have a gallon of ice water at work vs. half gallon. Plus you could easily fill someone else's bottle whose in need. Always wise to have extra. I'll take the half with me on moderately warm days and save the 1 gal for the hottest dog days of summer here. (That's New Jersey for me). Not as hot as the south but still bad in July and August
I've been looking for verification that these OT bottles are made of 18/8 food grade stainless steel. I have 4 of the 64 oz ones and want to make sure they are safe for drinking water. thanks!
What about the lids supposedly having a defect where water can be trapped in them? If you take your kid off shake it and see if you can hear liquid in it, apparently the spout is not sealed correctly leading to the lid filling with water
I can verify this to be true. I had to stop using it because I kept finding plastic particles in my water from the top. I really liked this jug too. Replaced it with a Stanley growler and haven’t looked back…
I need a new bottle for work. I spent around $50 on a coldest water bottle not even 2 years ago its already beat up . I figure get another one of these since I had one in the past the 64 oz one was about $15. Thanks for the review
Shhh don't tell them their product works too good they'll lower the quality heh!! Gonna have to get me one of them there jugs!! I tote a 64oz bubba growler around everyday. *Have a good'nnn*
Those bottle work great in the reverse conditions as well. I have one of the smaller bottles I keep in my truck. I usually take it out at night. One night I forgot it. Then again and again as it had fallen and rolled under the back seat. The overnight low for those 3 nights was well below zero. The water in the bottle froze, but not all of it. I was able to pour about cup of water out. I set the bottle on the counter for 3 days. When I went to pour out the water, there was still an ice chunk in the bottle that I could not pour out.
I have one of those Ozark trail jugs but it's not exactly the one I wanted the one I wanted was the RTIC jug but because it was hard to find I gave up on it and bought an Ozark trail jug instead
So, you didn't fill with water expecting the ice to melt but didn't. I got thermos made by an unknown company but it don't perform like the OZ or my Stanley (it was in one of my recent tent videos). We went tubing in a mountain stream yesterday and it felt really good. We drove over 2 hours to get there but it was worth it because it was no where near as crowded and deeper than the ones closer. I don't know what that's got to do with your great video but there it is. Have a great day off.
Video Summary: Guy fills bottle with ice and expects it to melt after being in the hot heat for hours. Ice does not melt and he is disappointed. Add water to the bottle next time. lmao.
Very nice impressive looking piece of equipment Ozark Trails never let's you down. Donny Pavolini did a new review video for a new one Donnies was very good
To be honest with you that tells me that product is a very good one if you wanted water in it you should have poured a little bit of water in it before you put it in your truck 😂😂😂
He had me at first. At a fraction of the price instead of a yeti. Your paying for the name. This thing is great.

It’s amazing how well these things really work absolutely love mine.
This ain't no joke...it's perfectly brilliant...and I'm glad I got one without paying for it...lol.

Definitely getting one now.
Will it keep stuff warm? Like fresh made soup for example.
Best 30 bucks I ever spent, YETI is TOTALLY OVERPRICED!
So the ice didn't melt?

If you would have had a package of that freeze dried water you could have added that. Thank you for the video, Mart. Stay safe and stay cool
Tells you how well built it is.
Shhh don't tell them their product works too good they'll lower the quality heh!!

Well, why didnt you add water too it from the beginning?

Water well melt the ice quicker
That is one merciless jug. I wouldn't trust it to give me water from ice even when my life depends on it. 🤖
You are a funny man! I really enjoyed the video 😄👍
Observation: I had to stop 2 min. in.
I got tired of the drama and hearing about you boss's hemroids .. .
Did you have an onion tied to your belt? Because that was the style at the time...
I have one of those Ozark trail jugs but it's not exactly the one I wanted the one I wanted was the RTIC jug but because it was hard to find I gave up on it and bought an Ozark trail jug instead
So what you’re saying is you didn’t drink no water during those four or five hours?
So, you didn't fill with water expecting the ice to melt but didn't. I got thermos made by an unknown company but it don't perform like the OZ or my Stanley (it was in one of my recent tent videos). I originally thought you were going to say you put ice water in there then it froze the water, lol
Okay, I'm sold.
I bought mine and so far it kept my tea for like hours
That's a great jug!
I think I just heard Jerry Clower!
Well that jug is just the perfect size case I need for the outer body of a home built jet engine

Add water to the bottle next time. lmao.
I like mine it keeps ice for 4 days or more!
Me too, its called refrigerator

No Brother...it worked so well that I had to show it's success as a failure...lol.
leave the country bumpkin schtick and jokes to the professionals
Woo Whoo !!! What a great failure 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 if only all products could fail so galently
