i do wonder if he was doing manual launches whereas you were doing automatic with launch control, may explain the acceleration difference, it didn’t seem like he had *that* much better of a reaction time
or he wasn’t putting his foot to the floor and making the traction control kick in and just knew exactly where wheel spin would kick in

That's so weird I watched this vid over Christmas! Love seeing the car content.
I do have a rather important note. I would recommend not sitting on 2step for as long as you did; it sounds like an ignition cut system and you'll smoke your ignition coils by doing that. It only takes a second to rev up, and then it cuts ignition when it hits a soft limiter. Then, excess fuel is being combusted which heats your exhaust (maybe not a problem on a supercar) creating the extra loud backfire you hear. This puts a lot of strain on the valvetrain and turbos. Infrequent and short uses are fine, but sitting on it for 5 or 10 seconds is a very bad idea.
