There's a couple fixes I've found. I don't even have my phone connected to bluetooth and just play music/navigation by connecting it to the USB port but if you don't want that, there should be a way in settings to connect it without CarPlay ever activating. You have to delete your phone from your device list first and then when you set it back up, choose "connect bluetooth audio" and then when it's set up it'll ask if you want to use CarPlay, just choose "Don't connect to Apple CarPlay" and you'll be good
jordan you dont necessarily need to learn heel toe but rather just rev match down shifting, because you dont always need to brake when down shifting, which is the whole point to heel toe. Rev matching is more usable in everyday use than heel toe.
You don’t actually have to rev match with the throttle if you don’t want to. You can just slip the clutch in a bit smoother and use that to bring the revs into sync without lurching around. Rev matching with the throttle is more about reducing heat and wear in lightweight racing clutches under high shifting demands (like actually on the track). It’s a good technique to learn but don’t stress about it.
Maybe you can flash the Engine Control Unit, usually that’s how companies de-tune or limit the power that the engine has to help pass emissions regulations, among other reasons. Flashing the Engine Control Unit is just about the most basic modification you can do to your car. What it does is that it removes all the limitations that was put on the engine by the manufacturer and unleashes the full power of the engine.
for people who don't know heal toe is not necessary in manual transmission. just match your gears with your speed and your fine heal toe is better for the car is long run if your not changing gears properly :)
DAMN I WAS NOT EXPECTING THE M2!!! I work at BMW as an Inventory Specialist and that is by far my favorite manual transmission car we make. May be my favorite car to drive overall. definitely a good choice. and to answer your question: yes you can put a different tune on it to make it as powerful as the M4, but in my opinion its not needed because of the shorter wheel base and the less weight
Well you dont strictly have to always blip/rev match when shifting a manual (in everyday driving). When accelerating, pressing the gas pedal just a small bit certainly helps make the upshift smoother. When decelerating you dont really need to press the pedal at all while downshifting (if you dont have auto rev match), you just need to engage the clutch a bit slower so that it doesnt jerk the car too much. Downshifting can also be used to decelerate without using the brake very much. I'm driving a 90s car without much of any electronic helpers, so my experience is way different from a brand new bmw m2, but I just wanted to point out that rev matching in a manual car is really only necessary when you do sporty driving/track driving :)
I’m from the UK and I can assure you no one downshifts through each gear when coming to a stop/ near stop. Just dip the clutch and brake until your speeds at a level you know is suitable for say 2nd gear, touch the accelerator and lift the clutch and accelerate. Or if your coming to a complete halt, just dip the clutch and brake till you stop and put the hand brake on 👍🏻.

Jordan spent 20 minutes talking about this awesome auto blip feature found on the beemer like it’s crazy technology. I mean SynchroRev Match was first introduced by Nissan on the 2009 370Z. It’s over a decade old technology. I can still remember all the car guys calling the “end of the manuals” taking the driving experience away and automating it.
I mean he has never done easy thing like installing wheels, at least i don't think he has, he has only done professional mods such as changing the color of the stitching so i doubt he has, but i hope this car is the change, it would look so cool with a widebody
The things he has done isnt really stuff you do yourself. Paint protection film is a pain in the ass, changing tyres (rubber) cant really be done at home as you need to balance the tyres and machines for changing is expspensive
As you accelerate power transfers backwards which slightly lifts the front up this is why FWD cars like the fiesta don’t exactly put the power down too well
I see people AutoX the Fiesta ST, I don't hear a lot of complaints about lack of grip... though you are comparing it to rather sporty cars... so in comparison... yes, a Fiesta has less grip than a new Ferrari :P Edit: I need to learn to wait until I've watched the whole video before leaving comments. :P I do like the choice of a new car, BMW does make good cars for track use while also being daily drivable, the couple laps I've gotten around the Nurburgring has been in various BMW, an E39 523i on 7-year-old winter tires and a crazy driver from New Zealand going sideways through UA-cam corner... and an F10 M5... now that car felt real fast to someone used to a slow old Volvo 240 wagon. There is a lot of BMW fanatics around me, and while I've not been in an M2, I rode along in a 2 series convertible while in Germany, and it was a hoot even in regular 2 series version, it's smaller so it's closer to the old E30 3 series, so I bet you'll have a great time in your new bimmer. And yes, back-up cameras are great, I'm actually installing one in my ye olde Volvo 240, and it was such a great thing to have when I had to drive a minivan where I couldn't see the back of the car that easily, transporting a bunch of actors and actresses it was nice to not have the hassle of guestimating where the rear end was on the Opel Vivaro, hilariously it was called a BiTurbo, basically a twin-turbo diesel van. I did love where they'd fit the reverse camera on it though when I put it in reverse, the rearview mirror turned into a screen showing the back of the van.
Finally somebody else agrees about the electronics!!! It's even more stupid to have it all in pickup trucks. People who actually use a truck for work (ya know, the whole reason they even exist) would never be interested in all that.
You’re probably gonna wanna try out a few of the BimmerCode mods, especially the one that turns off Active Sound (the fake engine noise). Also you mentioned the tune for more power, you can tune it to get the same power as the M3 and also there’s another tune that’s very common with modern M cars that allows you to run E85 if you want even more power. It’s all over the forums, just look at Bimmerpost people talk about the E85 tune all the time
Some more sticky tires and wider wheels might have helped with the grip But part of the fun of a car like that is its something you can push to it's limits without having to go extremely fast or get "too dangerous" But coming from a better performing car it does feel like a bit of a letdown or handicap

Gotta say, great choice. I drive a 430i right now, and my plan has always been as soon as I can afford a more expensive car I'm going for this in this exact spec with the M Driver's Package
Also as far as the CarPlay stuff yeah that's really annoying. There's a couple fixes I've found. I don't even have my phone connected to bluetooth and just play music/navigation by connecting it to the USB port but if you don't want that, there should be a way in settings to connect it without CarPlay ever activating. You have to delete your phone from your device list first and then when you set it back up, choose "connect bluetooth audio" and then when it's set up it'll ask if you want to use CarPlay, just choose "Don't connect to Apple CarPlay" and you'll be good
Also hey i've been watching since like before mianite and i love these vids... And i like ur plan of less vids on the main
jordan you dont necessarily need to learn heel toe but rather just rev match down shifting, because you dont always need to brake when down shifting, which is the whole point to heel toe. Rev matching is more usable in everyday use than heel toe.
Jordan be like: “oh whoops I accidentally bought another car again!”
This dude looks like captain sparklez and jordan reacts that is wierd
Maybe you can flash the Engine Control Unit, usually that’s how companies de-tune or limit the power that the engine has to help pass emissions regulations, among other reasons.
Flashing the Engine Control Unit is just about the most basic modification you can do to your car. What it does is that it removes all the limitations that was put on the engine by the manufacturer and unleashes the full power of the engine.
Aww Damn, I got another car again, whoops.
I really Hate it when this happens.
Now i have 43 Ferraris, silly me!
for people who don't know heal toe is not necessary in manual transmission. just match your gears with your speed and your fine heal toe is better for the car is long run if your not changing gears properly :)
I’m so happy you bought an M2. Such a good idea
@@__The_Real_V__ was about to say the same thing lol. I'll still watch it just to watch something tho
@Verrückter Schakal Well that’s your fault for good through the comments and possibly getting spoilers whilst watching it
Verrückter Schakal I mean most people could tell it was a Beamer based off the thumbnail.
I’ve seen like 3-5 youtubers buying M2s in the last month....
yo same! i’ve seen freshkicks and throtl getting an M2. looks like they’re going to be common.
@@stars7338 For good reason. It's probably the most fun BMW you can buy right now and it's only $60k starting msrp
They're good cars so yeah
Probably the best car BMW has made in a long time
Well you dont strictly have to always blip/rev match when shifting a manual (in everyday driving).
Thank you! A lot of people think rev matching is mandatory in a manual, when it’s really not.
JORDAN! We've talked about this... You need to control your addiction.
I mean the only thing this addiction is hurting is his wallet.
Jordan: likes his Fiesta
Me: wishes mine would get totalled
I got a 6 speed manual 2019 civic coupe and if I had the money I would be driving anything else
Is it a ST?
@@AvWoN st being standard? No it's an automatic. I doubt I'd like it standard any better, I hate the way it drives in general lol. I miss my Kia Spectra. That was a good ole car.
@@kendramccarthy6880 ST stands for sports-tuned. The car has a more aggressive design and has a Turbo fed engine. That's why he likes the car and the sound of it. Its a nice sporty car (but with downdside of being a hatchback) with Turbo and after-market muffler.
The RS (Rallye Sport) is even more power/aggressive oriented
6:30 legit thought he was gonna get that brz in the back. With that big ass wing
Me coming from the video where he got the Carrera GT
Jordan. Get an aftermarket exhaust. Dude the m2 sounds SO good with a decent exhaust system. Also get a tune and crank that power a little.
edit: oops thought this was the old m2 at first. Still, the new one still sounds way better with an aftermarket exhaust
I love how Jordan just drops phrases like lightweight flywheel without giving a crap about whether the viewers understand what that is...
This is a car-centered channel. Most people who watch his videos understand what he's talking about.
it’s a flywheel that’s lightweight
I’m pretty sure Jardon was being flipped off by the people in the background at 6:19 lol
If you keep getting cars you’ll delay buying that really nice house with a good view by a couple years
This is a joke please don’t take this seriously
Jordan spent 20 minutes talking about this awesome auto blip feature found on the beemer like it’s crazy technology. I mean SynchroRev Match was first introduced by Nissan on the 2009 370Z. It’s over a decade old technology. I can still remember all the car guys calling the “end of the manuals” taking the driving experience away and automating it.
Jordan, it is real carbon fiber, just exposed and dry carbon.
Alternate title:Jeez I hate it when I accidentally buy another car
Just bring in all the bmw jokes we've heard em all.
Queue the "wOW hE uSES a tURN sIGNAL?" and the "wOW hE iSNT cuTTING pEOPLE oFF iN tRAFFIC???"
Me: live in apartment and works at Walmart
Jordan: buys ANOTHER car
Has Jordan ever worked on his own cars? I’m genuinely curious.
No I don't believe so. He just enjoys driving which is totally fine too.
Doubt it. his garage is pretty much all the space he has cause it opens out onto the road.
I mean he has never done easy thing like installing wheels, at least i don't think he has, he has only done professional mods such as changing the color of the stitching so i doubt he has, but i hope this car is the change, it would look so cool with a widebody
I don't really think so as A) His Garage only has room for cars and nothing else, and B) A lot of the cars he buys you can't really work on yourself.
The things he has done isnt really stuff you do yourself. Paint protection film is a pain in the ass, changing tyres (rubber) cant really be done at home as you need to balance the tyres and machines for changing is expspensive
Jordan, the trim is real carbon fiber. It is laid over the trim and is not coated in a clear coat of paint, hence the textured and exposed finish.
I don't know, for some reason when you said that this is the car that I'm willing to park on the street, my mind imediately went to BMW.
9:12 what a guy
I was expecting that mustang where he first learned stick
Me too lol
Not a track car. It’s a drag car.
@@2nd-place what are you talking about mate , a mustang is a good track car
7:15 ok but the em1 tho👀👀
Europeans: Ha! Americans not familiar with manual car?
Me, an American: 👁👄👁
Manual>automatic
13:00 This is why you don't get a BMW. It's meant for bad drivers that don't know how turn signals work.
jordan: omg I luv car
the guy eating his lunch with the camera focused on him and not jardon: 👁👄👁
As you accelerate power transfers backwards which slightly lifts the front up this is why FWD cars like the fiesta don’t exactly put the power down too well
Your really out here living the best life. Car looks amazing, congrats my dude
I see people AutoX the Fiesta ST, I don't hear a lot of complaints about lack of grip... though you are comparing it to rather sporty cars... so in comparison... yes, a Fiesta has less grip than a new Ferrari :P
Edit: I need to learn to wait until I've watched the whole video before leaving comments. :P
I do like the choice of a new car, BMW does make good cars for track use while also being daily drivable, the couple laps I've gotten around the Nurburgring has been in various BMW, an E39 523i on 7-year-old winter tires and a crazy driver from New Zealand going sideways through UA-cam corner... and an F10 M5... now that car felt real fast to someone used to a slow old Volvo 240 wagon.
The zoom in and transition at 12:00 is *chef's kiss*
Finally somebody else agrees about the electronics!!! It's even more stupid to have it all in pickup trucks. People who actually use a truck for work (ya know, the whole reason they even exist) would never be interested in all that.
When I saw the video at first, I was really hoping he got a JDM car, that'd just spice up his collection. Like an nsx seems good for him
Be more reliable than the entire collection 😂
The 2021 Ford bronco is available with a 7 speed manual transmission for preorder and should be available to purchase next summer
It’s all over the forums, just look at Bimmerpost people talk about the E85 tune all the time
This guy deserves everything he's gotten so far being the car guy he is. A true savior of manuals and lover of all cars
Some more sticky tires and wider wheels might have helped with the grip
But part of the fun of a car like that is its something you can push to it's limits without having to go extremely fast or get "too dangerous"
But coming from a better performing car it does feel like a bit of a letdown or handicap
13:15 LMAO I love Jardons editor XD
