This is by far the best cover I've heard of this song. You have a deep, rich, sultry voice that does it great justice! Also, the way your vibrato spins the words "hear", "near", "need", and "see" is a pleasure to listen to.
Besides the original version, which is perfection, my favorite version of this song is an instrumental one by guitarrist Paul Rose. But you Ruby have a great voice and really did justice to Alison Moyet! That´s an amazing acomplishment. This is beautiful.

You should listen to Anna Maz whom sings Weathering heights a cover by Kate Bush and Push your voice as far it can go on same song , you're got a great voice just needs a push ,I play piano but as as for my singing it's down right pitiful but if you can transpose that to only you I think you'd be awesome, you're got such a soothing voice but push it I believe in you Ruby just got try like I do with piano I'm not gifted but you are,I just practice and practice❤️
Fair cover. Coupla things: The lip synch is way off. Hardly matches at any point. You sound quite similar to Alison Moyet and sang it quite similarly to the original. Be just as well to listen to the original instead. Just my opinion...

I edit my videos with a basic free to download editing suite and my worst is better than this video. Again, no criticism on the lassies voice. 🙂
..first time hearing you do anything.. eh .. be careful, you might have real people out here that may have stopped for a listen, you're usually fortunate to get 15 ‐ 30 seconds .. if someone stays for the duration, you better be flawless . .. and not seem so smug and bored.
