Lofton plays good as a ball handler and number one option when other guys are out. He doesn't seem to play nearly as well in a complimentary role. You don't want the situation though where you need to rely him as a top option because that means that your roster is pretty bad 😅 So that's my understanding of why they let him go. He was expecially bad at it in summerleague. I only watched the Vegas ones but at least in those he was calling for the ball all the time and not making super good decisions after half of the time. Only in last game he played more within the system.
