I was about ready to have Grant build some sort of hoist seat that would lower me into the tub, then bounce me back out again. An industrial crane would have done the trick!🤣 I credit my successful avoidance of sugar to the reduction of joint and muscle pain that I've been enjoying recently. Thank God for Swerve!

Your pink tile for the kitchen sounds sweet. Things do pile up, don't they? I tidy up and it doesn't last long. I've developed habits I need to change a bit. Congratulations on your weight loss, I know it makes a difference. I'm just calorie counting and it's working but only doing a slow loss so I can stay with it. I know you made it out of the tub safely because you unloaded this video! I have a long favorite rubber mat that works well. Old fashioned but functional. Lots of suction cups on the underside and I take it up to dry each time. So happy for all your good news.
Hi Karen! It's so nice to see you! Yep, your possessions can get the better of you. Especially if it's hard to get around. I'm feeling so much less mobility impairment now than I did 41 pounds ago. My recently cut up hand has been causing problems. I can't really do much of anything with it, and if I do it really raises my pain level. So glad the calorie counting is working for you! It worked for me too, but what has really helped is getting rid of sugar. Gosh, that was hard! Your rubber tub mat sounds like the kind we had when we were kids. Isn't it funny how something familiar from your childhood can be such a delight to use when you're older?

I've just come through a long, dry spell of no motivation. The combination of losing 40 pounds and having the baby coming has really adjusted my attitude. We just need to keep pushing!🥰

I just celebrated my 1 year Keto weight loss anniversary, 75 pounds lost and I don't even recognize myself any more haha. 30 more pounds to lose and I will be happy to just maintain that weight. Oh wow, congratulations! It has taken me so long to finally get serious again and take off a decent amount of weight. Once I finally drop down below 268 I will feel like it's real. That's what I got down to the last time I lost weight, about seven years ago. I immediately started putting oounds back on, though, because I was "dieting" instead of eating sustainably. that is what that's one thing that has changed. I have modified my eating habits, and I suspect I will eat like this for the rest of my life. Yep, getting up on my knees is a problem, although I can still barely do it. I remember when I used to just pop up out of the bathtub, no, turning around to get on my knees. That seems like a lifetime ago! I wonder if that will ever happen again? I'll keep you posted!😊
Thanks! it's so nice to see you again! Oh my gosh, it was a dream come true to be able to soak in hot, perfumy water. I have my shower set up with a shower chair and a big huge bundle of eucalyptus hanging from the showerhead. It's lovely, but it's not the same as soak. The shower is so dang tiny and I am so dang big that I can't reach my ankles and feet very well to do a scrub on all the dead skin. Soaking in the bathtub solves that problem. Oh Lordy, fat girl problems!🤣

Oh my gosh, I feel like I am entering a new world. I project myself a couple of years in the future, strong and healthy, and able to run around the backyard with the grandbaby. I still have most of my childhood literature, and I plan to read to that kid every time I see it. And let's not even talk about the crafting experiences! I don't think I will be as lucky as you to have three little ones in the next generation. My son's wife has mild heart trouble and they probably won't risk having another baby. I'm going to have to hold myself back from spoiling this one rotten!🤣

Awww, thank you! I'm counting down the hours until our boy gets here. The weight loss continues, slow and steady, although the holidays have seen me creeping along at about a pound a week. Funny that you should mention Dollar Tree dinners. I was at Dollar Tree the other day and I found organic coconut flour. That's noteworthy because I've been experimenting with sugar-free, low-carb, baking and cooking recently. Coconut flour features prominently in lots of the recipes. Making tasty food from the Dollar Tree isn't a challenge, but making low-carb and/or sugar free food is. Maybe that should be my new challenge?🤣😊

I'm going to be a Grandmommy for the 8th time sometime in March. And, funny, it is also my baby boy and his girlfriend. They go on the 26th of this month to see boy or girl. I had a dream last week that revealed that it is a boy. And they thought they was telling me something I didn't know when they made the big "we are pregnant" news . But I new it already. Thanks Karen! Needless to say, I am over the moon about this, my very first grandchild! Actually, we considered the store as a venue, but there really isn't enough room either inside or outside to accommodate 120 people. Also, the party will probably go at least until midnight and I know the neighbors will probably have a fit about all the hootin' and hollern' and mariachi music! As it turns out, they have decided on their first choice, which is a very large outdoor venue on a big piece of property. It has hosted many parties, and quinceanera's. Of course, the weather in early December could be horrible, but they are getting tents and if it looks like it will be cold. They will go ahead and rent propane heaters as well. I think it's all going to turn out just fine!😊

oh my gosh, it's so good to see you again! Remembering water is my downfall. I tend to let myself get a little dehydrated, which I know is really bad for me. I think I may set up an alarm system on my phone that reminds me to get a drink of water once an hour or so. Protein is no problem, though, because I crave it all the time. Now it's time to incorporate some exercise, especially with strength training. I'm beginning to look like a Shar-Pei with all this loose skin! 🤣 I hope all is well with you!🥰

He was in college for so long that he never seemed to have the time, plus all his classmates were younger than he was. He's actually known this girl for years, and he was good friends with her dad. They reconnected right after he graduated, and it was love at second sight!

Thanks for your concern.It's stained, not dirty, although your point is well taken. You're looking at rust stains and calcium deposits. They persist even after using Comet and a scrub daddy. A steam cleaner might take it off, or perhaps a wire brush attached to my electric drill. I'll let you know.

Congratulations on your weight loss and the new Grandchild. I would love to have a bath again. No problem getting in but getting out would be an issue because I can't get onto my knees to stand up. I just celebrated my 1 year Keto weight loss anniversary, 75 pounds lost and I don't even recognize myself any more haha. 30 more pounds to lose and I will be happy to just maintain that weight. Looking forward to seeing all your updates to your home.
Oh wow, congratulations! It has taken me so long to finally get serious again and take off a decent amount of weight. Once I finally drop down below 268 I will feel like it's real. That's what I got down to the last time I lost weight, about seven years ago. I immediately started putting oounds back on, though, because I was "dieting" instead of eating sustainably. that is what that's one thing that has changed. I have modified my eating habits, and I suspect I will eat like this for the rest of my life. Yep, getting up on my knees is a problem, although I can still barely do it. I remember when I used to just pop up out of the bathtub, no, turning around to get on my knees. That seems like a lifetime ago! I wonder if that will ever happen again? I'll keep you posted!😊

Thanks! it's so nice to see you again! Oh my gosh, it was a dream come true to be able to soak in hot, perfumy water. I have my shower set up with a shower chair and a big huge bundle of eucalyptus hanging from the showerhead. It's lovely, but it's not the same as soak. The shower is so dang tiny and I am so dang big that I can't reach my ankles and feet very well to do a scrub on all the dead skin. Soaking in the bathtub solves that problem. Oh Lordy, fat girl problems!🤣

Hey there! Bathtime confessionals are my favorite videos to do, even though they embarrass the heck out of my kids! Oh, well, I'm just paying them back for being such little s#!ts when they were teenagers!🤣 Grant is out of town, visiting his family in Nebraska, and he won't be home for about three weeks.😢 He normally makes this trip in July. it feels weird to have him gone this time of year.🥰

Oh my gosh, I feel like I am entering a new world. I project myself a couple of years in the future, strong and healthy, and able to run around the backyard with the grandbaby. I still have most of my childhood literature, and I plan to read to that kid every time I see it. And let's not even talk about the crafting experiences! I don't think I will be as lucky as you to have three little ones in the next generation. My son's wife has mild heart trouble and they probably won't risk having another baby. I'm going to have to hold myself back from spoiling this one rotten!🤣
@cherylcoyote and let's be real having a baby is hard on parents so the grandparents really are a huge part of the support system. And you are going to be incredible at it. Awww, thank you! I'm counting down the hours until our boy gets here. The weight loss continues, slow and steady, although the holidays have seen me creeping along at about a pound a week. Funny that you should mention Dollar Tree dinners. I was at Dollar Tree the other day and I found organic coconut flour. That's noteworthy because I've been experimenting with sugar-free, low-carb, baking and cooking recently. Coconut flour features prominently in lots of the recipes. Making tasty food from the Dollar Tree isn't a challenge, but making low-carb and/or sugar free food is. Maybe that should be my new challenge?🤣😊

You'll be out of the weather, and depending on the hotel, you have tables and chairs provided if it's in a banquet room. The cost should be significantly less than the cost of any "party" venue (such as a wedding venue). Plus you can bring your own food. Just a thought. 😊

I'm going to be a Grandmommy for the 8th time sometime in March. And, funny, it is also my baby boy and his girlfriend. They go on the 26th of this month to see boy or girl. I had a dream last week that revealed that it is a boy. And they thought they was telling me something I didn't know when they made the big "we are pregnant" news . But I new it already. Sometimes you just know these things.

Thanks Karen! Needless to say, I am over the moon about this, my very first grandchild! Actually, we considered the store as a venue, but there really isn't enough room either inside or outside to accommodate 120 people. Also, the party will probably go at least until midnight and I know the neighbors will probably have a fit about all the hootin' and hollern' and mariachi music! As it turns out, they have decided on their first choice, which is a very large outdoor venue on a big piece of property. It has hosted many parties, and quinceanera's. Of course, the weather in early December could be horrible, but they are getting tents and if it looks like it will be cold. They will go ahead and rent propane heaters as well. I think it's all going to turn out just fine!😊

oh my gosh, it's so good to see you again! Remembering water is my downfall. I tend to let myself get a little dehydrated, which I know is really bad for me. I think I may set up an alarm system on my phone that reminds me to get a drink of water once an hour or so. Protein is no problem, though, because I crave it all the time. Now it's time to incorporate some exercise, especially with strength training. I'm beginning to look like a Shar-Pei with all this loose skin! 🤣 I hope all is well with you!🥰

I’m pretty sure I’m never going to be a grandmother while I’m alive. Only have one son and don’t think he’s ever getting married, engaged, or just an oops.
Hi Marguerite! I was right there with you. My youngest son is 41, and I didn't think he would ever settle down. He was in college for so long that he never seemed to have the time, plus all his classmates were younger than he was. He's actually known this girl for years, and he was good friends with her dad. They reconnected right after he graduated, and it was love at second sight!

Thanks for your concern.It's stained, not dirty, although your point is well taken. You're looking at rust stains and calcium deposits. They persist even after using Comet and a scrub daddy. A steam cleaner might take it off, or perhaps a wire brush attached to my electric drill. I'll let you know.
