I've been loving all these projects, but I gotta say there's just something about the "Christmas but make it spooky" stuff that makes me extra happy!😂😂😂
On the foam clay: when it dries it has the same properties as EVA foam so you can use a Dremel and/or a soldering iron for detailing but you want to wait until it is COMPLETELY dry which can take multiple days
One of the things I love most about your channel (other than your quirky sense of humor & nerdiness) is that you aren't afraid to share when something doesn't work or when your plan changes. You two have a lovely relationship and I can tell that you are best friends! Happy Holidays to you guys and your family!! ❤️
That is so totally awesome! I've always felt that mimics were an underused critter. Since they can be anything why do they always have to be chests? Why not books, armoires, chairs, couches even and I love the toilet idea. Would love to see a sculpted toilet mimic!
spooky themed holiday decor other than Halloween seems like its going to be goldmine for this channel. who said you can't make other holidays creepy because its not Halloween? love to see whats going to be next!
This is cool, but you know what would be cooler? Make the mimic with motion sensors so, when the vict-err…person isn’t too close, it looks like a present that is inviting them to open it. Then, when our target moves in to open it, the motion sensors activate and our mimic comes to life to devour them! THAT would be awesome!
FYI. Crayola model magic is foam clay. it seems to take a bit longer to dry when it's thick but will work in a pinch when you run out of the good stuff. love the project!
Every Sunday I wake up and think: “hmmmmm, what thing are Wicked Makers gonna turn petrifying today?” Love you guys! 🙌🏼 (I know this was posted on a Saturday but you know, every other time)
This guy is so wicked! Y’all did an amazing job making him into a present mimic and it looks exactly like it! Happy holidays and i hope you have a merry Christmas! Y’all are truly amazing!
Now you guys need to build a "Christmas Tree Roper" I just imagine "Lurking Roper" trying to be a Christmas tree with these mimic presents all around it.
Ooo, in February can we expect a spooky valentines day? Bleeding love hearts and flowers with teeth. Heart shaped box with fingers and eyeballs lovingly packed in cupcake wrapper lined slots.
I wondered what you might do next...and here it is: a terrifying Christmas present! I love your stuff! Merry Christmas to you both and the babe. I'm happy to see her included in your video!
Your skills are amazing, but you also present these videos in a way that shows how these techniques are accessible to everyone, even a total beginner. It's very inspiring.
when sticking clay to another surface one thing that really helps to make sure it stays on is to score the surface. Basically just make lots of little cuts and scratches so that there's some texture for the clay to grab onto. Still the way you did it works and the project looks great!
You're a true artist and this is an amazing creation. I love your channel, you're always lots of fun, thank you for your content and a Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!
I love it! Mimics are always fun. I've always wanted to make a spring trap that looks like a normal box or chest but when you open it it causes it to spring open and show its a mimic.
4:27 "Hey, you don't have any teeth!" "Yeah, yeah, I know. I couldn't scare anybody if my life depended on it." Littlefoot and Archie (TheLandBeforeTime IV: Journey Through the Mists)
We are excited that you’re able to make videos full time now and we are looking forward to this next year of more content. You are amazing at painting and an inspiration for us. 😊
Funny coincidence...I just played DND and our party encountered so many giftbox mimics! It was a wonderful treat to see you make one today too. It looks great!
It's great to see your kid involve in these builds cause it will help unlock their creativity. My parents did not have one ounce of creativity juice in them, and I literally grew up being boring LOL
Excellent job! I genuinely thought that Mimic Treasure Chest monsters were exclusively from the Dark Souls video game series? I had no idea they dated back to the 1970s with Dungeons & Dragons. You learn something new every day :)
This is so fantastically cool!! Jamie, your paint job on this one was out of this world!! You both are SO talented and I am super glad you have decided to make this a year-round channel! I always look forward to a new video from you guys! Foam clay is definitely something that takes some getting used to but you really did a fantastic job with it! I get your texture woes! You can use a dremel, files, sandpaper, etc. on it once it has fully cured, if that helps! It IS really nice to use when you need to keep something light weight but that cure time can be a bear! Anyway, hope you and yours have a very Happy Holiday and a healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year!
I love this I keep watching it over and over, if you guys ever make another mimic present, make the tongue look like a jack in the box but instead of having the doll that comes out from the box it be a hand attached to the spring of the jack in box to look like it's wanting to grab you and pull you in for its meal. Just giving an idea out heh
Omgggg the mimic?! Yes pls!!!! Tysm for a new video merry Christmas Eve to you guys!! Hope y’all have an amazing Christmas Eve & Christmas Day & a beautiful new years tysm for everything y’all done of making amazing videos can’t get enough of of them much love!! Tysm for making my 2022 amazing watching these videos
What I’ve done to get the details back when using foam clay is carving it with a rotary tool like a dremel. I’ve used that brand of foam clay and it carved super clean for me
This was just so excellent and so beautifully designed and created! I loved it! You know, you could start a playlist called "Gamer monsters" and just go all out! Would love to see what you'd do with an Owlbear! OMG, instead of a haunted house tour, you could create a dungeon tour at the end... Now visualizing a life size Dragon on your roof!
Make more of those Christmas present mimics but in different shapes, sizes, and colors. Put body parts in them, have them stick out, then lay them out around a 7ft man eating Christmas tree with big yellow eyes and big sharp teeth, branches that look like clawed hands, and vine tentacles.
The inside of the clay will eventually harden; but be careful to keep it someplace cool. If you store it someplace warm before it fully dries/hardens on the inside, the inner clay will melt and deform the sculpt.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas everyone! 🤘💀 Thanks for an amazing year. You are awesome.
Wishing you a Merry Cryptmas & a Spooky New Year! 🤘🪦⚰🎄🎆💀🦇
Your Mimic design just makes me go

Merry Christmas and your welcome!! Love your Mimic, looks so good! ❤

I've been loving all these projects, but I gotta say there's just something about the "Christmas but make it spooky" stuff that makes me extra happy!😂😂😂

That is so awesome. What a fun material
I didn’t know what a mimic was, but that’s cool! I love that your child and pet aren’t the least bit bothered by the creepy projects you do.
😄😄😄
I'm so happy the wicked stuff continues even after Halloween is over. You guys are so wholesome :D
Merry christmas!
Yes!!! Merry Christmas

the mimic came out so cool!!
Oh good idea!!
That is so totally awesome! I've always felt that mimics were an underused critter. Since they can be anything why do they always have to be chests? Why not books, armoires, chairs, couches even and I love the toilet idea. Would love to see a sculpted toilet mimic!
Totally agree!
They are about to toilet train a toddler ! NOT a good time to make the toilet scary ! 😕

Merry Christmas JM!!
“What’s that?”
“A mimic!”
Ah, I see you are raising them right!
Also, had no clue that you guys had a sphinx cat! So awesome!
I love how even when you are making Christmas decorations you make it scary
Yep!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Now you guys need to build a "Christmas Tree Roper"
I just imagine "Lurking Roper" trying to be a Christmas tree with these mimic presents all around it.
Love this idea!
That's pretty awesome, you captured the look of the mimic very well. With that technique, in my mind's eye though I see a symbiote.
Yes!!!!
This is such an appropriate Christmas gift. Thank you very much! Have a very merry Christmas and a happy, healthy new year ❣️

So cool!!! I love that you guys are doing other holiday projects that are still creepy and cool
Yep!!!
You guys are truly great artists. Love that you are still creating even after Halloween. Happy Holidays.
Your skills are amazing, but you also present these videos in a way that shows how these techniques are accessible to everyone, even a total beginner. It's very inspiring.
AWESOME!!! I'm actually wearing my Christmas mimic shirt today.
Yessssss
i love how the Mimic looks! the tongue gradient is pppppppperfect!
I love mimics! You need to make more of them like one for every holiday hidden in some random fun object :D
I can’t wait tell y’all spookify the next holidays. Merry Christmas to you two and your loved ones ❤
Valentines Day! But creepy...
Wishing your family a very Merry Christmas!!! Thank you for your wonderful videos!!!

That paint job looks amazing! I'd love to see a video covering some basic painting techniques.
Like most (all?) of your videos, I started out thinking it wasn't going to work. And you proved me wrong, as usual. Fantastic!
Absolutely brilliant. Just the idea of making a mimic present is outstanding.
This turned out great! But, imagine a motion-activated one that opens up when anything comes near it!
Love this. Thanks for using easy to find materials and tools. Final Mimic looks amazing.
It's great to see your kid involve in these builds cause it will help unlock their creativity. My parents did not have one ounce of creativity juice in them, and I literally grew up being boring LOL
Very cool project...might try this one myself...thanks for sharing and stay safe!

Thank you!!
A real piece of art here! Awesome, stepping up the game on the painting as well! Merry Christmas!
Another awesome prop! You two are so creative. Love it! Happy holidays
Even though you lost a lot of the texture you carved into stuff, I still think it looks cool! I kinda like the puffed up look, it's unique.
I love you guys....you come up with some of the most epic ideas that work for both Halloween and Christmas...
wowza
🤘🏼😄
You guys are amazing, I really love all the projects you’ve done so far. I really hope to see lots more!!
Awesome idea for the mimic. Foam clay looks neat and fun.
I love how you made it both Christmas-y and creepy! Perfect for the holidays!
Happy holloidays to you too. This Mimik looks awsome, I think I will try to build one to for next Christmas.

Best Xmas episode I've seen on UA-cam. Awesome build guys.
Technical term at the finest "thingy" we all know what thingy means. 🤣 Love it
New idea for our next campaign. Awesome work guys! So impressive!
Just answered the poll about knowing who MIMIC was and now this comes out lmaoo
Haha yes!!
The gloss really sells it! I think you could also use something to make saliva, it would be even more creepy. XD
To my friends at Wicked Makers Happy Christmas and a Happy New year to you and your family
You too Alan!
