  • I am a Mexican woman who has decided to embark on an adventure with my husband by traveling and living in Cuenca, Ecuador for at least two months.
As I settle into this new environment, I am eager to see how quickly I can adapt and immerse myself in the local culture.
One thing that often goes unspoken when people move to a new country is the challenge of making friends. While some people may prefer to remain within their cultural bubble, I am determined to make genuine connections with locals and other foreigners residing in Cuenca, Ecuador.
As a digital nomad, there are unique challenges that come with the lifestyle, and I am excited to share my experiences with you. I plan to share my thoughts and insights on interesting aspects of living in Cuenca, Ecuador and the struggles that come with being a digital nomad in this city.
Thank you for joining me on this journey, and I look forward to sharing my experiences with you.

I visited Cuenca twice. I love Cuenca! And I went to a co working group too. Loved it. I had no trouble making friends.

Being semi-living in mx and have visited co a few times, I can tell you I am able to meet local friends a lot easier in mx (my hobby helps a lot). Mex ppl are just generally more easy going (mi casa tu casa phase), the banter, the jokes, cuss words, laughers..

friends are overrated. who has time for that? who wants to deal with other people's opinions and needs? I love being anonymous with no responsibilities to anyone else.

I think those aren't friends then If you feel you have to deal with anyone else's needs. That would be so stressful and boring. I still believe there are amazing people out there. They and my family make my life happier.

Your family should be your best friends! Everyone else in life is coming and going. That’s my opinion. 😉

Love your videos I would like to know have you and your hubby ever felt unsafe in a place you visited.

Mmm... Not really... It has felt really safe. I walk alone at night in the places I've been and it's fine.
I was in Taganga, Colombia last year for a month and we did feel a little bit unsafe though. Nothing happened, it was just the feeling. We had to be careful.

How can’t you be depressed if you are living in a car park, breathing the smoke of the cars 😮 I can’t believe you stayed there 😲

What a cool video idea! I am quite shy when I am traveling and I always wonder how to make friends. Coworking spaces are very interesting. It seems it is very good for social collaboration and networking.
Me encantaría escuchar las experiencias de tu colega!
