So that's how to check it, but how do you adjust it if it's not right? I watched 3 times and didn't see that info. Am I daft?

Why won't anyone show how to actually adjust the hinges, pulling the door off and putting it back on is not an adjustment.

Try with a 13 year old stove the locks will squash and you can't pull them down .have to remove the springs or sawzall off the hinges
This did not address the “adjusting” part. I know how to take the door off, but how do I actually adjust the hinges? The door won’t close all the way. It barely shuts and the door alarm constantly goes off and the oven won’t heat up.

@@nitromarkkr The adjustment was made when he put the door on the ground 00:50. He kinda glossed over the critical information. Tip: It's a lot easier to adjust the door with a helper/buddy. To adjust: 1) Remove the door and set it down flush and on a level surface (as he demonstrated). 2) Then, while keeping the door level, make sure both hinges are touching the ground . Reinstall door as shown and hinges will now be reset to zero.
@@casedizzy I am probably an idiot just fyi but what do you do when you set the door on a level surface and the hinges do not both touch the floor? I'm still missing the "adjusting" portion.
@@casedizzy He did no adjustment. He showed a parallel check to confirm no adjustment?replacement is needed.
@@WeTubule The title of the video is "How to Adjust the door" but in fact he did no adjustment. Poorly named. Should be "how to take the door off and put it back on"
Oven is a Kenmore 15 years old, it slams shut. I can’t find anything that adjusts that.
That doesn't say how to adjust it. Ours is too high after cleaning it. How do we "adjust" it.
A TECHNICAN TOLD ME THAT THE LEFT DOOR HINGE IS BROKEN AND THE PART IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. CAN THE HINGE BE REPAIRED SO WON'T HAVE TO BUY A NEW OVEN
