This is definitely leaps and bounds above the original playable version, the crisp animation style everything is just soo new and exciting my two favorite bits that surprised me was the animation for how metal sonic worked and both eggman and majin's sections were handled amazingly, hats off to ya bud you've managed to surprise and entertain me yet again
I really think whoever made this can do better with eggmans sprites, MUCH BETTER. Also i think using the boss rush Majin sprites would fit more since that’s kinda how he looks in the song. But still this is a great song and mod, I enjoy seeing nominal dingus’s songs playable!
Can I just say how good Xanthus' sprites are? Not only are they new sprites, but they actually made the animations transition back to the original idle animation. They takes some extra effort! Amazing mod for an amazing track!
People don't understand how hard it is to edit sprites and make them look good. Even if they aren't made originally for this the edits still look amazing.

Tbh I really like each characters section in their own way Xanthus: a true tyrant, he’s gotten what he’s needed to assert his power everywhere in his kingdom, and there’s no guaranteed way to stop him. He showboats this, and questions anyone that opposes him if they want to try this risky dance of death with him. Tails: explains how his loyalty all goes down the train because of one mistake he makes in trusting the wrong “Sonic”, and realizes that this fight truly was a lost cause, which is why he gives in. Though he’s sonics best friend he has no visible injury. Knuckles: he warns and tells BF what happened to all that faces against him, and has a moment of grief and disbelief that his long time rival would just kill him off like this. He’s stripped from his dignity, and out of everyone he makes the biggest impact due to how unnerved BF looks at Xanthus’s 2nd part. Robotnik: arrogant as always, seeming fine on the outside. On the inside however he’s a broken man, no longer able to rule over Mobius now that there’s a new emperor on the block. Metal: just has to get the job done, not much to say about him here. Pico: he’s all in, locked in on his mission as he’s here to shoot anything that opposes him or is a threat. He’s ready to do his mercenary task old school. Majin: here to have some fun, however in the last moments where it really counts he sees what he has done, and *really* gets pissed off and serious at what Xanthus has done.

I wish they'd have just used regular Knuckles but redrawn with black eyes and white pupils, kind of like how they did it with Tails. But I guess a few more minutes of sprite editing was too much for their schedule.

It's just a recolor of the fanmade xenophanes sprites but it does look good.
