I have the MDJE 7.5kw model 1971 onan marine generator. I had to put ESD5500E Speed Controller Generator Connector Actuator Governor ADC120 on it. I had the same problem as the one in the video, the engine speed control did not work.
I have the same model basically and this actually helped allot! A relative who passed owned it and I'm not very familiar with generators like this. This is a good start. Thanks.
All the smaller air cooled standby propane and gas generacs I have worked on have Chinese made engines, not saying they are bad. I am sure when you get up into the higher range commercial units they use higher quality engines.
