Carl, we don’t recommend it. The electrode is hot and may burn through your glove. The electrode is also electrically charge and the work piece is grounded, so you could get shocked if your hand touches the grounded work piece. A few tips if you are having problems controlling the electrode: hold the stinger with both hands, use a shorter electrode, find a more stable and comfortable position to stand or sit while welding.
