Everlasting thanks to Mr. Cho. Last night he transported me with this same concerto in DC at the Kennedy Center. From the opening Eingang measures, improvisatory in Beethoven's day, to the spontaneity of the 1st movement cadenza I felt like a time traveller. Imagine being in the Vienna Theater an der Wien. The day is December 2, 1808. Beethoven’s improvisatory mastery is on full display. We hear the Choral Fantasy, with large sections so linked to the cadenza Mr. Cho plays in the 1st movement. Then the 5th, 6th Symphonies, and Coriolan Overture are performed. It will be Beethoven’s last appearance as a pianist. But Mr. Cho draws a line for me, here, between, this period of Beethoven and us, two centuries later. Each note appears as if imagined at that moment. I submit Mr Cho has thought long and hard about these contemporary Beethoven works. Channeling Beethoven's spur of the moment skills makes me close my eyes, and as if through a dimly lit glass see and hear LVB, a few aeons ago. It is there for the listener. Thank you, Mr. Cho.

Wow! ❤❤❤
Seong-Jin Cho is absolutely phenomenal Pianist. He deserves all the superlatives compliments.

the best second movement of this concerto I heard so far
Lovely, sensitive Pianist Seong Jin Cho with an exquisite orchestra, sheer delight to the ears and senses. Brilliant!
Bravo! Your rendition of Beethoven is impeccable!

No no. The country is Georgia, not US. He also performed a recital in Georgia on Sep 3rd . Thanks
