It's great to find a reviewer with a common sense point in their life. So many people simply run with the pack of "latest and greatest" and forget in real world terms, we can't all go out every other month and buy the new "in phone". To be honest, my daily is my Nokia/Windows 950XL and my back up is my Nokia 1520. I love them. I mean absolutely love them and have had zero issues with either. Thank you for doing and thing of the "little people" and making this review. I am in the hunt for a solid Android phone for app reasons only and this made my list. Great job....

I dont see myself upgrading for quite a few months(it doesn't feel like an old device). And the main reason I love this device is that it is super light and very thin!! And the dash charging powers up the phone in no time! This is one of the best VFM devices ever from OnePlus.

After five years of using my OnePlus 5, am finally moving on to a new phone. I just didnt feel the need to change my phone, I played games, watched videos, movies, did anything and everything on this phone, I dropped it like a million times on accident and for almost 2 years I had it with no cover, it survived every drop until a couple month back when I dropped it and screen on the bottom left got cracked. Everything in the phone is still functional, I can still press the button on the bottom left of the screen with no problem. The fingerprint sensor hasnt been perfect, but after 5 years of using the phone I cant really complain about that. The camera cover on the back came out, so the lenses got burned from the sun and damaged since I didnt put a case on the phone nor did I replace the glass cover protecting it. I saw this video while watching an old jerry rig everything about the oneplus 5 and I really appreciate that people out there know how good this phone was. Oneplus 3T is a better deal in my mind if your not worried about the camera. It has almost identical specs, snapdragon 821, 6GB of ram, 64GB of storage and a 1080p AMOLED screen, and of course my favorite feature dash charge. I got mine for £120.

Bought mine in November 2017 for $380 brand new and still rocking hard to this day. Installed custom rom Pixel Experience Android 10 with latest security patches and features and it's buttery smooth! Also custom Kernel and with Google Cam 7.3 modded it takes awesome photos in daylight and also in night with Astrophotography etc
And when Oneplus releases Android 10 now in May/June, it'll be updated again, even better!
I think this was the true last flagship killer from Oneplus. Nowadays their phones are almost as expensive as the other flagships. Gonna go with Xiaomi or Realme next year. That's were the sweet spot performance/price/quality is now.

I bought my OnePlus 5T in November 2018 and it was only £280 refurbished from GiffGaff. Considering it was the highest spec model with 128gb Storage and 8GB RAM, it was an amazing deal and functions amazing. I'd honestly say it's one of the best phones you can buy right now if you want as little compromises as possible. Its fast, even if it's the last gen Snapdragon chip because the software is so good and it's on Android 9. The camera is amazing, especially in pro mode and when taking RAW images that you later alter in Snapseed or Adobe lightroom. Sure Google pixel has better software and Huawei has better hardware, but you can download Gcam and get much better pictures on your OP devices of you want and it already has a solid set of hardware which even if they aren't the best, can be made up for with the custom software you can get.
