    Hi there. I definitely wouldn't advise anyone to buy a Jackery - especially one of the older styles with the fixed handle which you suggested. Very old battery technology. Much better out there for a reasonable price and way better. ATB, Des

    My heater was £85 fitted under my drivers seat and fed from van fuel tank. Been using it nearly 2 years with no problems. All diesel heaters can be fed from main tank or even diesel return line

      @@adventuresinmyvan You certainly did my friend ALL diesel heaters can be connected direct from your fuel tank or even connect to a returning pipe

      @@boatingmanchester I have the MV Airo 2kw diesel heater. Kiravans charge £990 but yes I could have bought cheaper 🥲

      RidgeMonkey is really handy and I’ve heard of people doing a cooked breakfast in it

    Cool video but how much for a heater? 😮 I fitted a £100 one in my van just before Xmas and it feeds from main diesel tank? Ridge monkey on my list of bits 😊

    Yep. Same here! £144. Yes, it comes with a little plastic fuel tank but you don’t have to use it!
    My mechanic plumbed ours into the diesel tank.
    He did change all the fittings though as he said they were too flimsy.

    thanks, it always interesting to see peoples kit suggestions, we are fairly new to t4 life, we just had a lifting roof installed in ours, does having the double front seat make it harder to put the roof down ? we have 2 singles at the moment but i am considering having a double front seat but we wondered if the roof will be harder to access for lowering ?

    • @adventuresinmyvan
      @adventuresinmyvan  6 місяців тому +1

      I think it will make the roof easier to lower once the double seat has been swivelled round. The single seats are more comfortable but obviously the double is handy if you need another person up front.

    We have two quilts with teddy bear Covers on them. One thick, one medium and put one under, one over and adjust according to temperature. + a fleece throw in case it’s really warm. We have two cushion covers of about 30cm X 60cm to stuff them with our pillows into for travelling and use them as backrests in the evening.

      I used to sleep on one duvet and have another duvet over me, plus throws if it's cold. I resisted getting the mattress topper for ages but glad I finally gave in. It's a game changer on a little rock and roll bed !

    Ecoflow or allpowers Do not buy a jackery old battery tech very slow charging and you can't store anything on top

    • @adventuresinmyvan
      @adventuresinmyvan  6 місяців тому

      yes the handle does make it difficult to store anything on top. I've not found it slow to charge but haven't compared it to anything else in all fairness.

    Had a T4 for 12 years and my current Camper for 5 years. So in 17 years have I ever felt he need for a Powerbank? Nope, absolutely not a Campervan essential, more an overpriced Trendy addition.
    Ridgemonkey is an absolutely brilliant bit of kit and would make my top 5
    Diesel Heater - Best thing ever, had an Eber in my T4 and now have an Autoterm one. The cheap Chinese copies seem to work ok, you can however fuel them in the exact same way as the Eberspacher etc, no need to use a separate fuel tank

    • @adventuresinmyvan

      I use the power bank when off grid for kettle, toaster and charging camera and laptop but yes I could survive without it. What else would make your top 5 other than heater and Ridgemonkey ?
