I'm more shocked that the tail lights have a computer and cost $1,083! That's the stoopid part!!
Just stolen today at Houston apartments. Both taillights gone. How the heck they get passsed the alarm? So, I had to look into it and found these videos. Ford Dealership is stating $5,500 to replace since they get everything, such as the frame and taillights have a sensor and module. Crazy!!! Man..hopefully my insurance covers this mess. Now how to drive to work in the meantime. Such a headache and frustrating, especially since it could happen again🤦🏾😮💨

What can you do? Simple get a front and rear dash cam. Or just get a Tesla, that have like 5 and you don't have to worry about catalytic converter thefts either.

So sorry this happened to you David. I hope everyone that sees this or thieves robbing someone reports it to the police or maybe records them doing it. Everyone owns a cell phone now so how hard can it be to call the police even if it's not your vehicle? If someone was messing with your car, wouldn't you want someone passing by to do something about it?? I understand, you may not want to confront the thieves by yourself, but if we look out for one another, things will get better instead of where they are heading!

Dealership need to install better alarm systems, key needs to ring or vibrate or alarm more sensitive they broke into target alarm doesn’t even goes off

Water leak causes faster damage to tail light..& computer, a part of communication System Which shuts down a lot of other modules including a/c and radio.
Dealer price is over 2k.
High demand for that part.
Dont buy these newer stupid cars with overexpensive sensitive parts..

That actually happened to someone I know. Broke a rear passenger window to get in and stole her steering wheel. About 2 weeks ago.
They are already stealing the steering wheels out of some cars. It's a big problem in Detroit
