Congratulations, Nick! You managed to complete the tender garage bit 🤣
So funny, after seeing the "behind the scenes", the way you talking about the garage was in this video 😂
So polite too! 😂
You managed to get the guy out of the way...
Hahahahaha just scrolled to the comments to see this
I feel like I’m watching a man meeting his love and introducing her to his friends lol
I'd make the captain sleep in a hotel too. Otherwise he'd interrupt every sentence of every conversation! Nick I admire you patience and skill at editing him right out.
Ah Look, someone beat me to it. I was expecting him to pop up at the end. :)
I want a 15 minute vlog out out-takes - you know he has it!!!
@@googlevoicer Don't make fun of the captain too much, he was just super eager and super nervous.
@@pauln2141 Pop up from under the shoes..
@Heartsongsutube and rightly so, put it next to a new boat and you would be hard pressed to understand how old his boat is.
0:56 I feel you glossed over the tender. Perhaps if the owner had given you a detailed run down.... ;-)
Lol - well done, we all smiled at that in the crew mess🎖
It was the Captain, the owner has probably forgotten that he has the boat.
Go on, tell us about the garage.
I´m literally lmao 😂😂😂
After seeing the making of this video I’m impressed at your editing skills🙈🤣
I try
One critique, Nick. You could have spent more time talking to us about the Tender garage! 😉 Great tour as always!
I know im not the only one who got excited when he said there was a crew cabin. 🙆♀️
Yeah I wasn't expecting a boat that size to have a crew cabin
I was like whaaaaaa? Where! Get to it!
The crew areas are some of my favorite. I think it's because it's where a lot of us can actually see ourselves having the possibility of occupying.
Like an old Mercedes, you just know its something special when they appear! In a port of contemporary art work pieces this just glide in with formal elegance!
That is a stylish boat if I've ever seen one!
Considering how many shoes where on just a weekender boat. I am trying to imagine how big of a closet the misses would have back at home xD what a bad ass boat. Really only one word needed to sum it up. Sexy. ;)
Somebody's got work
Just done the lottery, will let you know when I’m off to put an offer in.
Good luck!
Style with a capital “S”
Things that caught my eye: the rich colour of the teak as opposed to the standard sun bleached decking; the chrome (or is in stainless) rocker box covers on the V twelves - now that is attention to detail. It truly sums up the phrase “maintained to the highest standard”.
They (rocker box covers) caught my eye straight away too!
“Classic Riva”
Classic Nick.
Was expecting 2 see Six Pack's reflection haunting the tour and wasn't disappointed
Lovely Boat - you seemed like a kid in a candy shop telling us about this one.
I have a question/suggestion: On all of the boats you review, what are the practical everyday aspects we need to consider...i.e..... How long will the water last a family of 4-6? How often do you need to empty the black/grey water tanks? How many showers can you get on a boat without a water maker? How many loads of laundry can one do while out at sea?.... remember some if us have teenager kids so showers are ridiculously long ...lol
I ask because as a chef, these kitchens look great, but I often wonder if all my (I know I'd need to pair down) equipment and food supplies will fit in order to feed a family of 4-5 for more then 3 days out on the water. Can we do all of this without having to empty bilge tanks, refill water and bring on new/fresh supplies every other day..... just curious
He really did!
As a family of 5 on a 52ft boat with 3 teenagers. I’ll tell you now, you’ll be lucky if you see the water last more then 4days when the boat is being used every day. Even with a full height fridge freezer and 2 other smaller drinks fridges on board. You can only stock a few days supply of food and that’s often with eating out in the evenings.
So the answer is with a family on board you do not last long at all before needing to restock and refill !!
@@willbrowne9568 - thank you for the reply. To be honest that is actually longer then I thought, as I am horrified at how long teenagers run the shower not to mention running the taps while brushing their teeth. But I would be somewhat happy with 4 days worth of water and food.
Michael Lampros
they just have to learn when The hot water tank is empty.
They will learn to shower fast 👍
Michael Lampros: Teenage kids.....
That was a foolish decision some time in the early 2000’s then. I’m sure you’ll say “I wouldn’t be without them”. But dear God will they empty your wallet even quicker than a Notting Hill mugger!
To be honest, I wouldn’t have cared to watch this video, but your obvious excitement in the previous video, was infectious. This thing is not my style at all, though it is an amazing machine. I will admit, that the always amazing Aquaholic tour, won me over a bit. She is a wonderful boat indeed. Still not my cup of tea, but I do understand the love.
Well if this doesn't get you to 200K subscribers it's them not you Nick: Your enthusiasm was contagious - you made me love a boat that I would normally not look twice at!
You're very kind :)
I did wonder how you were going to get rid of chatty man, he was hovering on the quay obviously not trusting you at all !
ahah that garage edit
. It had to be done. The boat is just stunning, 11 out of 10
Please forgive, I forgot to mention about the shoes. On just one 10 day cruise, I counted 29 pairs of shoes taken.
This boat has aged so well. Absolutely in love with it!! Thanks Nick.
Glad you like it!
Jesus Nick, I didn't know if you was reviewing the yacht or going to make love to it mate
He was definitely trying to woo the lady and tame the beast
Well, he did say his wife has been gone for awhile lol
Gorgeous boat, a credit to its owner. I hope you get to tour the fascinating Riva 76 Bahamas too sometime. 👍
Wow this boat is stunning and great price too, it somehow feels more than 500k to me, but what do I know. Great vid, great boat, its a breath of fresh air.
I thought that this boat was a piece of art when you gave us a little teaser what was coming Nick, and it is a very very cool boat, and with some fantasy I could see
Sophia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida laying on the foredeck in some sixties style bikini....but then reality hit me (hard) and I’m back in my couch,on dry land :) :) :)
This is like the essential gear if you own a waterfront house in South Florida and want to make weekend trips to the Bahamas and along the coast, can't imagine buying a Florida house without one like this (or a Mangusta in this size) (not that I will ever be able to afford either a Florida house or a boat like this, nevertheless can't imagine buying one without the other...)
You could eat your dinner off the engine room floor, love the curved wood, amazing condition!
If Boating were a religion - you've brought us to the Chapel off the Nave - and it is a reverential experience. One more thing, this can NOT be the price. This is worth way more than new vessels in this range. And, there is NO comparison for the quality - it is THE CHAPEL.
MAN D2842LE406 not a terrible engine has one major engineering flaw that could cause a valve to drop into a piston. Most of these older engines have all had their valve trains upgraded by now.
I’ve never worked on the 61 but I have rebuilt a set of D2876LE405 in a 45 Riva of the same generation.
I have to say I really love your channel. I don't own a boat. I own an RV, but listening to your descriptions of what you are viewing, you can hear the passion just as if you were describing a master piece. From the smallest to the largest yachts, your coverage of all the details is awesome. Keep up the great work! You help me with my day dreaming!!!! CHEERS!
You're very kind :)
_This is Classic Riva..._
I think I speak for everyone in hoping to hear those words again in future walkthroughs! Come on Riva! Withdraw the boat pole from your behinds and stop being a bunch of stuck up snobs! It's a boat, not a bloody atomic bomb!
This boat is quite Da Bomb though. "Canarino" means "Canary". I would rename her Execution Dock. That's where they used to hang pirates.
That fan whirring away in the cockpit should be stainless steel to fit the theme.
That boat alongside Revolution looks cool too.
This must be special boat ... for the first time in a boat-review video I didn't think it could be improved by a couple of babes on the sun lounges!
Yes! Been waiting for this one since behind the scenes video. One of my favorite boats on this channel :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a wonderful boat, not only for its time, but for now as well. If only you had been able to raise a fraction more enthusiasm for it though. :-) I'm guessing by the use of cabin 3 that this boat belongs to Imelda Marcos?
A true work of art, this riva is my favourite boat on your channel if I had the money i would buy this one ,it reminds me of a ferrari 365 GT daytona its beautiful and a classic, thank you for this video 👍.
She's gorgeous!
05:57 ~ inDEED! I literally LAUGHED!
10:41 ~ DEAL! (Although sadly I'll have to wait until my numbers hit. HaHa)
I'm waiting for the "out takes" on this - and I know you know what I mean! 😏
I don't know if it's my "dream boat" (no pun intended) if I had to pick JUST one - but she's awesome and it would be a great long weekender... ANDREZA 2 maybe? 😉😉
Thanks again for an awesome tour!
🤩 WOW.. that is one beautiful boat. Think I’ve just found my lottery boat 🤣
On the behind the scene, the captain wouldnt shut up. How did you manage to keep him quiet? Or its a fenaminal editing job. Lol
Great vid. Liked this boat.
I just want to take her out, and sing Kenny Loggins, Highway to the Danger Zone, while I mash the throttle.
WOW! Imagine having money enough to buy a Riva, just for your shoes!
Awwww! You cut him out! "is possible to have larger tender" Take 2 "Yes is possible can have larger tender" Take 3 LMAO!
Ever since the behind the scenes video I was looking forward to the creative edits this video would have. Very politely and expertly done! Beautiful boat!
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a stunning boat, great to see attention to detail maintained since new, a great buy for someone that's for sure.
Wow wow wow wow!!! I remember seeing those around my way when I was younger every weekend!!! Today I finally got to see the insides! Thank you 😬
Glad you enjoyed it!
O my, she was worth the wait. I have seen a couple of these slamming across the Garda lake back in the day and never would have thought this was the level of luxury. I was always thinking Miami Vice and not Miami penthouse. Superb boat thanks for presenting her.
Wow, just wow. Amazing condition for its age and just gorgeous.
Did this boat belong to Imelda Marcos ...? :P lovely boat
Now this, this is Smugglers 3, surely.
Really nice boat but also what caught my I was the orange speedboat next to it
If you were to buy this boat keep whoever has been maintaining it on staff.
Was a bit worried you had locked the "Captain" in the engine room. But he was anxiously waiting for you on the docks! Lovely boat and of cours so well presented and I believe you fell in love.
Great boat, truly a masterpiece!
I'd love to see a tour of a lynx yacht, they truly are one-of-a-kind boats, and an "Aquaholic style" tour would be much appreciated.
What is your top 5 favorites under 30 foot? Adn why?
The boat is older than me and it aged better 🤣
Great tour of a beautiful boat. I’ve been waiting for this one and you did not disappoint.
Glad you enjoyed it
Beautiful, stylish, classy, speed & comfort..... She has it all!!!!
I love watching you geek over boats, really shows your genuine love and appreciation for these machines.
“Reverential”, word of the day. What an absolutely stunning boat.
Seems like a steal for half a million.
Is there a large bow storage compartment? The head of the master cabin looks awfully wide and there appears to be access forward of the sunpad....
Have a safe blessed day! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Wow what a beautiful boat. You have to love a classy older lady 😃
Beautiful. The wood is always special on a Riva. I was wondering, are the wood parts of boats ever sealed with epoxy resin? If not, then why? Properly applied, epoxy resin looks amazing, glass like finish that really exaggerates the grain. Also it is *extremely* hard wearing, needs no maintenance and nothing is more waterproof!
'If you like it and you do wanna buy it do it and pleas take me out on it!' ... and most importantly: Keep the captain, cause he may be annoying as hell if you try to make a video 😁, but he DOES keep the boat 'shipshape'. You'd need sunglasses in that engineroom. 👍
I was today years old when I understood what 'shipshape' meant... 😳
Was really really looking forward to this video since you first showed this boat on your behind the scene video a week or two ago.
As an added note. I admire your patience Nick. The owner of this beautiful boat seemed a bit abrasive during the snall amount of interaction you included in that behind the scenes video.
Not at all, it was the skipper and he was a really lovely fellow
What a beast indeed. I'd never own one of these, but I love every bit of it! Awesome tour!
Thank you!
Absolutely love riva. They know what’s up when it comes to med style
Hi Nick. That is one classy and sexy piece of kit. Love Riva. I always stroll past the Riva dealer when in St Tropez thinking “one day”. It’s the combination of quality, style and design. It’s funny you mention RR and Ferrari. Because there was a magazine called symbol in the 80’s and 90’s for “friends of Riva, RR and Ferrari”. You could only qualify to get a subscription if you owned all 3. I think if you had that set up plus a villa In the South of France, that would be the ultimate lifestyle to me.
Lovely lovely piece of kit.
Ps. Those subs are really shooting up, keep up the good work.
Laith 👍
Mmmm... This is a stunning boat - or at least, would have been in 1998. Personally, I think it's starting to show it's age. Not in how it was maintained, as that's obviously meticulous, but in its design. Covers over the toities, camp-style stove, etc. Like a Lamborghini Countach. Everyone wanted one back in 1985, but now? So: very, very well kept boat and obviously a thoroughbred, but now it's tired and better for lounging about. (Sorry Nick, I know you really liked this one but tastes differ...)
Another tender garage comment: 20 minutes of filming for 6 seconds of footage.
😂😂😂👍
AN AMAZING WORK OF CLASSIC ART ,NO Nick not you the Riva , I bet you would sleep in the crew quarters to spend a few days on this in SALCOMBE AND A TANK OF FUEL
Loved that one Nick, just epic quality boat 🚣♀️ thanks 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Cracking Boat Nick 👍🏻
If I had the disposable income available to buy her, I’d lend her you for a holiday 🙏🏻👊🏻
Thanks for sharing ☝🏻this gorgeous vessel.
Very nice boat and amazing condition for it's age
Outstanding ! from that era the quality was exceptional in parallel with its engineering/design!
see other models i.e. Super America, Black Corsair, Diable, Turborosso.
Stunning craft . What was the orange boat next to it
Tender garage tour was a little quick, plus you sounded a little peeved 😖! ...Gorgeous boat though, in a lovely location 🌞
The shoes! It's almost like these videos have plots now. A perfect transition to a "Meet the Owner" video.
First class when brand new and still first class 20+ years later. Upgrades/re-fit easily brings the boat into 2020. I can just see myself pointing the bow out of Haulover inlet, pointing it towards Bimini and rolling on those throttles.
Omg! Wow! I’ve always held riva in high regard, but that is stunning 😍 tastefully brought into the modern era but still has the old charm that are typical of riva.... even when you went into the engine room, I looked straight down at the bilges, surgically clean! The chrome rocker covers, the small details count.... As for your mention of the top side looking like an E Type, absolutely spot on...a gentleman’s car and play thing, like this riva.... I couldn’t help but chuckle abit when you were in the garage from your out takes on this one.... I don’t think you’ll be the only one in love with this once they’ve watched your tour....❤️👍🏻. Timeless beauty is all I can say...
That was a super fine boat. Top of the range if you what I mean. Since you started reviewing Riva Bahamas, now I'm looking forward to Riva Florida.
wow, when you referenced the e-type nose, I 100% got that, as I've driven a classic e-type. The way you sit so far back on that nose. What a beautiful ship
Beautiful boat. The question is whether "classic" boats will appreciate (sky rocket) in value the same way classic cars have? If so, this is a steal.
I'm so happy u have uploaded a vid.
Everyday I visit ur channel to see if you have uploaded anything.
Love ur channel.
If channel is like no other.
I got another video liked by me. 👍
I'm guessing it was classically styled in 98 as well. Riva holds on to a 1950-60s style although some of their boats are more modern now.
I suggest you inform Riva that they better pony up some yachts to play with. They'd be crazy not to be featured on this channel. 24 hours minimum I'd say. They can hold the peacocking italians, maybe a couple of local scantily clads. Bond style. I hear Amalfi is nice this time of year.
I was expecting the Captain to keep interrupting you at every turn, but you were so polite to him "behind the scenes" that he almost disappeared completely, except for the couple of times I saw him through a mirror in the background during filming.
It really made me smile that you are so happy with this 60 foot Riva. I could see you commanding the helm very easily and navigating through any area you so choose!
Fine video as always, sir.
"..I'm so in love with this boat..." Yep, +1
Nick definitely has magic in his fingers! He'd made that noisy guy disappear! 🤣🤣
Kidding! That was another awesome tour, Nick. Definitely felt the passion in this one. Catch you on the next tour!
maybe the best boat on this channel. when design and engineering meet at their very apex!
Little disappointed the captain didn’t keep butting in 😂🤣
Tell you what Nick - That's an easy boat to fall in love with... No wonder you were gushing so effusively, I would have been too!
I only came here to post about the tender garage. But literally everyone has beaten me to it!
Hahaha!
My favorite thing about this boat is that for it's age, it doesn't look outdated
Amazing yacht 🚤 fantastic condition! If I bought this boat ( in my dreams) you would definitely get to have cruise on it 👍🏼
Beautiful.....I want it ....what would the fuel consumption be at 30 knots from those engines ?
Strange you like that...a boat for real eccentrics only.....Ugly as hell....Sorry...reminds me of a cortina
Is it just me, or does anyone else get nervous when Nick walks up the side deck? Especially this Riva, having a small low down rail😟
So, you like wood, do you Nick?........... AquaRiva/Rama, next then?
