Yeah man. Definitely agree slightly larger tanks are optimal, long and low ideally like a 20 gallong long. Only thing I'd add if that's okay is established tanks are way better than new set ups.
Baby shrimp need an abundance of biofilm, larger tanks provide that, in smaller tanks, feeding a baby food or powdered flake gives them something to feed on if the biofilm is not there, but uneaten powdered food creates biofilm
Great video mate, I've just started with shrimp, but I've got them in a small grow out tank small plecos, ive no babies yet but I've got a few berried shrimp, like yourself I'm feeding the plecos not the shrimp.
Hey.. I love Mark shrimptanks and Mark Shelly.. But what is the hussel with these Plecos?! Plecos steal biofilm, food and U wount get green walls, that is an issue due to shrimplet survival

I totally agree. Letting the tank mature before adding shrimp is definitely the way to go.

That's interesting to know. Biofilm is what produces nutrients for plants

I've had loads more success since doing it this way. What colour shrimp have you got?

That's a really good point. I think the theory is the waste the plecos generate feed the shrimplet.
Very hard to get shrimp my way, they've sold as soon as they come in,seem very popular.....Good luck.
