Columbus cracks down on Hilltop property owners after complaints of squatters, negligence

- Neighbors in the Hilltop said two problem properties they called ABC 6 about earlier this month, are being cleaned up.
According to 311 reports, the properties located at 303 Belvidere Ave. and 571 South Harris Ave. had been the site of a homeless camp, squatters, and a destination for illegal drug use and theft. Reports also claimed the properties were overgrown and covered with trash.

Looks like good properties for City Council to tear down and put some of the high rise apartments they are wanting to put in all over Columbus. They just tore down 2 apartments on Agler Rd that have been boarded up for 20 years or more and my guess is they will become part of the Zone In Columbus project. Anna In Ohio
Gotta to love how they're going after property owners for squatters. They'd be arresting property owners for illegal evictions if they did kick out the squatters.
Nah, it's actually a thing everywhere now.
They extract money out of the homeless some use a house others use a shed, they give them a place to stay lay low even but during the day ext they go and beg for money.
They then give all of that money to the fuck who owns the house!

Okay great, so they are going to go after the property owners. Can we talk about who is going to be accountable for the city parks being used in the EXACT Same manner with NO regard after call after call after call? Go by Westgate Park anytime from 5 p.m through 6 a.m and see all of the homeless there. The problem is not that they are just sleeping there, the problem is the petty crime, drug use and illicit activity taking place in the surrounding neighborhood between their naps!!! So who is accountable for that?
