The last time i felt like this was a few years ago. My nephew at age 14 got up to bat in a make or break game to win the season. It was the bottom of the 9th inning, they were losing by 3 runs. The bases were loaded. Forget it everyone was saying. We might as well go home. Nice effort but we'd need a miracle of all miracles. He got up to the plate, looked over to where i was sitting and i saw something in his eyes i'd never seen before. It was the look of, this was his moment when it all came together. He rested the bat on his shoulder, looked at the pitcher and i could hear him say, give me your best shot. He didnt just hit a home run, he put it over the CENTER field wall. That was a depth that would have taken out the Fenway park center field wall. I think that ball is still soaring today. He took off on a slow run around the bases....4 runs to win the game and the series. You guys, are just winners. Throwbacks to such a great time in music history. I spent much of the late 70's and into the 80's DJing, my biggest gig in a really popular club in NY City. Music flows thru my blood. Great music..is my heart that drives that thru my veins. It is no wonder why Verdine is so proud to have you recreate their music. You probably did more for him and his band than you did for yourself even. You give them new life and meaning...to a whole new generation. You instill in them youth again... The next time they play this they will be thinking of you. And that..about sums it up. Other than that....wow...what lucky parents you have. And so supportive of you as well. :)
