So...paradox, for a reason! A situation, person, or thing that combines contradictory features. This is so interesting because if humans are really just energy, then yes, we would be able to remain the same despite being completely replaced every _n_ days (not sure of cell replacement times anymore). And as you mentioned, we grow/change over time to have different behaviors, beliefs, etc. Paradox, indeed!
So which came first, the chicken or the egg? Answer: dinosaurs! 😂

In your video you were talking about the choices that we make shapes us an individual. Choice implies that we have free will. There are a number of philosophers who believe that we don't true have free will. Daniel Dennett and Sam Harris are two philosophers who don't believe in free will. For them everything is deterministic. What are your thoughts about free will versus determinism? Also, your video reminded me of something that I'd often think about when I was a little kid; I constantly ruminated about the question, "Why am I me?" I never did find a good answer to that question, but I'd like know the answer. All of my cells are eventually replaced with new cells and I'm still me, by why am I me?

In my opinion both exist. The present is determined by the past, and the future is determined by the choices we make in the present.
